Something a little unusual for my fellow lovers of old books, strange history and all things occult.

Custodia Borealis are running a prize draw for a signed copy of Redemption by Sin by Tim Brown, a novella centred on Aleister Crowley's time at Cambridge. Only twenty copies of this privately printed edition exist worldwide, making it a genuine rarity.

The proceeds also help support the work of Custodia Borealis, which makes it even more worthwhile.

If Crowley, esoteric history, or limited editions are your thing, it may be worth a look.

Good luck if you enter.

Under the Hawthorn, Issue I has arrived, and Trithemius Press is pleased to be distributing it in association with Ruth Cheesbrough

A proper zine in the old sense. Twenty-four A5 pages, including covers. Thoughtful, tactile, and quietly serious. A gathering rather than a statement.

Inside: Mordecai Ravenschilde on arcane symbols as workings, not decorations. Dr Darren Hill on Custodia Borealis, the northern museum project dedicated to Occulture, Esoterica, and Hermetica. Plus art, photography, poetry, a quiz, and even a recipe!

A small, deliberate work, made to be held rather than scrolled past.

Available now: £3.50 posted 2nd class.

Forthcoming from Trithemius Press:

Fulmen Aureum by Mordecai Ravenschilde

A short philosophical treatise on symbolic grammar centred on a single emblem read not as ornament or identity, but as operation.

It asks what happens when a diagram is entered rather than displayed, and returns to an older language in which symbols act before they signify, and move before they name.

One form.
Examined with discipline.

Further particulars in due course.

Trithemius Press announces that the chapbook edition of The Veiled North has now sold out in full.

The chapbook was conceived as a finite artefact, produced in a strictly limited run to accompany the lecture of the same name. All copies have now been placed, and no further printings will be undertaken.

There will be no reprints, second editions, or digital substitutes. The work stands as issued: complete, closed, and intentionally unavailable.

Trithemius Press extends its sincere thanks to readers, attendees, and collectors who recognised the chapbook for what it was intended to be: not a product to be replenished, but a moment fixed in print.

Future projects will follow their own forms and limits.

There are a few remaining copies of The Veiled North chapbook still available.

This limited edition accompanies the recent lecture and brings together material on Victorian occultism, regional history, and the overlooked currents that shaped Northern esoteric culture. It is concise, carefully produced, and intended as a permanent reference rather than an event souvenir.

If you meant to acquire one and hesitated, this is the moment.

Once these copies are gone, the edition is closed.

Available directly via Trithemius Press.

The Veiled North is a limited chapbook issued by Trithemius Press as a companion artefact to the lecture of the same name. Grounded in Yorkshire’s industrial cities, private libraries, and esoteric societies, it examines the Victorian occult revival in the North as a disciplined intellectual and spiritual response to modernity rather than a retreat from it. Drawing on historical movements, symbolic practice, and cultural tension, the chapbook presents the North as a place where imagination, scholarship, and modern life were held in deliberate balance, not opposition.

FULMEN AUREUM
A Diagram of the Great Work
by Mordecai Ravenschilde
Trithemius Press

Fulmen Aureum is a short philosophical treatise centred on a single emblem, examined not as a symbol of belief or identity, but as a working diagram. The text explores the conditions under which symbolic forms cease to function as declarations and are restored to operation, enactment, and process.

This work makes no claim to lineage, recovery, or revelation. It concerns itself solely with the internal coherence of one diagram, and with the discipline required to treat symbolic form as something to be entered rather than displayed.

Publication details to follow.
