There comes a moment when you realize that you never truly win the battle for consistency. Not because you're wrong, but because you live in a world that runs in the opposite direction. Everyone wants to appear, no one wants to understand. Everyone wants the result, no one wants the journey. Everyone wants the selfie, no one wants the substance.
And I'm not a saint: I also like likes, I like it when a post gets around, when it reaches people, when someone recognizes themselves in it. I'm not immune, I'm not superior, I don't live in a cave. But the question I ask myself every time is always the same: do I want to truly be there or do I just want to be seen.
Because the difference is enormous.
Being present isn't about taking a selfie.
Being present is about making an impact.
It's about leaving a mark.
It's about saying something that lasts even when the feed scrolls by and people forget everything in ten seconds.
So yes, mine is a slow, tiring, often lonely battle. A battle for knowledge, for real skills, for content that can't be bought or improvised. A battle for consistency, which is the hardest thing to maintain when the world demands only that you be fast.
But if I have to choose, I always choose the second path.
The one that doesn't make an immediate splash, but builds.
The one that doesn't earn you immediate applause, but leaves you at peace with yourself.
The one that doesn't put you at the center of the photo, but at the center of the conversation.
Because in the end, it's simple:
I prefer to be the protagonist, not an extra.
I prefer to make a difference, not a pose.
I prefer substance, not a selfie.
And if that means losing a few likes, so be it.
I'm not here to please.
I'm here to be there.
