Blu’s Walk Update 🐾💙
Blu’s allowed three little 10‑minute walks a day — nothing more.
No running, no off‑lead, and honestly the whole thing feels like a military operation at this point. He’s still in the double‑length cone so he can’t get anywhere near his paw, and he wears his little booties every time we step outside so the pad doesn’t get wet or pick up grit. It’s still an open wound two weeks later, so everything has to be controlled and careful.

This isn’t a marathon — it’s a sprint we have to repeat every single day until he’s healed.

At the end I’ve added a photo of his pad one week in.
The first-night photo is too horrible to share, but this one shows enough to explain why life has been so tightly managed around him.

Because of his fear of the vets, the vet has been on videocall with me each day seeing how it's healing and advising me. This morning they have decided they need to have him in for possible stitching. Was hoping for a different outcome for him, but this can't Continue. I update later. Thank you for all the loves for him ❤

my poor baby, we had a bad night, we arnt doing much except keeping calm as hes not allowed to move around a lot. I don't think he does want to move around a lot.

Hi, it’s Blu the black Labrador! I steal things from around the house and then parade them in front of Mum like I’m showing off treasure. Socks, tea towels, random paperwork — if I can grab it, I’m doing a victory lap. Does your dog do this or am I just a professional cheeky thief with excellent Labrador confidence 🐾

Hi, it’s Blu the black Labrador and apparently I’m starring in a Taylor Swift music moment. Mum played the bit where she says ‘now I’m laying on the cold ground’ and every time she goes ‘arrrh’ she changes the picture of me sitting dramatically on the cold floor. I’m a happy, cheeky, cold‑ground‑Labrador with big emotions and even bigger acting skills. Hi, it’s Blu the black Labrador reporting for kitchen duty. Mum opened the cupboard to get the flour and the CORNFLOUR LEAPED OUT and landed all over my head just as I tried to stick my nose in. Now I’m a ghost dog, a baking assistant, and a very confused Labrador.
