Let me set the scene from last night. People on the dance floor and around the venue People are also dancing and enjoying the vibe.
Music was Sandstorm by Darude and before and after was music of a similar genre.
The bass is thumping and there is a great buzz and I've got the dance floor and reading my crowd.

Now, I'm pretty sure other DJ's will have encountered this next part of the story.

A lady comes up and says to me and says 'Can you play ABBA Mumma Mia, everyone loves it'

I politely replied 'Not right now, maybe later, I don't think this audience wants ABBA at the moment'

The response was priceless 'F**k everyone else, I want ABBA, I reckon I could be a better DJ than you'

My reply with a smile 'I will see what I can do' with absolutely no intention of playing it.

Now, if anyone was at the Purple Emperor last night, my sincere apologies for not playing ABBA.
