Usurp Film Oven

Our first Usurp Film Oven was a great success. Big thanks to Usurp Art and Poulomi for enabling me to do this. www.usurp.org.uk We heard inspiring stories of filmmaking from Louris, and Irena. We outlined how to make the night a consistent presence and talk of our Film Festival in July and turning the Film Oven into a rock for all filmmakers to talk, feel connected, get films made and flourish. Thanks to Poulomi of Usurp Art for enabling me to do this, and being a big help to introduce me to so many people, and to Louris and Irena for their excellent talks.

Schedule.
Theme: Shoe String Budget Filmmaking, discoveries and film with a VOICE
Irena Dragic will present work done in the past and as an independent filmmaker, she has a great deal of enthusiasm and insight.
Next, we will ask members to fill specific roles so our mission to make films of cinematic and festival worthiness can be realised.
Then we can look at projects that we can work on
By March 2017 UFO will have a film festival - this acts as a focus point.

UFO will meet this Saturday 4th June and members will have exposure to like minded people, have a place where they can show parts of films, scripts and work they have completed or are working on at the moment. The intended spirit is that of encouragement, cooperation, and the invaluable treasure of networking and being accountable to others striving for great things as filmmakers.

Usurp Film Oven
a place where ideas become living images
The aim is to provide an environment where creative, technical and film theoreticians can meet, discuss ideas, network, and make films. These films will be of high artistic and technical calibre and the goal is to have them distributed and shown in cinemas and film festivals. The Oven will represent the ideas of pushing the boundaries of expression; both the inner and social struggles of life will be directly addressed with the aim to bring discussion and light on the most difficult and inspirational issues of our lives today. initiated by Poulomi of Usurp Art to enable a local, Kasem, to do a project locally.
