Last night I was honoured to be awarded the Tees Valley International Film Festival Scholarship for 2024/25.
Thank you to , Fenton and the TVIFF Crew for selecting my script to be produced with the assistance of the festival.
This is a brilliant programme for new filmmakers and ones who like me are pivoting from their normal role.
The scholarship means that we are given £3000 to fund the film production, assistance with kit from our friends and sponsor , and the incredible offer of Teesside legend Stephen Tompkinson to star in the film.
This is an incredible opportunity for me to develop my creative skills outside of being a producer, and I’ll be eternally grateful for them taking a risk on me.
The film itself is called ‘Tania’, it’s a darkly comedic exploration of mortality and the secrets we may leave behind when we die.
It will premiere at next year’s festival, so we’ve got a whole year to make it, but that’ll come round quickly, so best get cracking
