Only a few days left until Virginia Woolf's Night and Day cinema release is upon us! Directed by North East based Tina Gharavi, worked on by local crew and shot in some of the regions superb locations, this period piece is a delight.

Catch it at Vue Cinemas from 19th June and look out for Beamish Museum and Durham Cathedral in County Durham, The Common Room in Newcastle Ryhope Engines Museum in Sunderland and Eglington Hall in Northumberland. 🤩

📢CALL OUT for a shooting producing for YouTube content

A production company in the North East is looking for a shooting producer with experience of YouTube native films to help make a documentary. The documentary isn't for linear broadcast and won't be a 'traditional broadcast' doc that's uploaded. It's for YouTube and needs to look and feel like its home is there.

You can watch The Fortune tonight on Channel 5 at 9pm which was filmed in the region by Newcastle based production company Lonesome Pine Productions

Hartlepool has never looked better!

Shout out to the North East crew who worked on the 4-part series which shot in the region last year including James Cook, Director of Photography, Graham Jackson, 1st AD, Lyndsey Palmer, Production Manager and Serena Hasan, Production Assistant Trainee.

The Bee & Dragon Catering Company provided the catering for the shoot with The Northern Film & TV Studios, Hartlepool providing the production base.

Shot in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, as well as Cologne, Germany, Virginia Woolf’s Night & Day will be released in UK and Irish cinemas on 19 June 2026.

The film, starring Haley Bennett, Elyas M’Barek, Lily Allen, Jack Whitehall, Sally Phillips with Jennifer Saunders and Timothy Spall will received the pink carpet treatment last night as part of SXSW London’s opening night celebrations 🎉🎉
