Starring Sheridan Smith as Ann Ming, the series tells the true story of a mother’s 15-year battle for justice after the tragic loss of her daughter Julie, a fight that changed the Double Jeopardy Law forever.

Produced by Hera Pictures London, supported by the North East Production Fund, this is more than just a drama, it’s a testament to resilience. Filmed in real North East locations and brought to life by regional crew.

Step inside the action with Crew Academy trainee Alistaire Wu on his shadowing placement at the BBC Proms at The Glasshouse in Newcastle, thanks to North East Screen, Livewire Pictures and the BBC! 🙌🎶

With over 6,270 people attending across four days (and 4,563 first-timers!), this was the busiest Proms in the North East yet. It’s more than just music, it’s a celebration of collective identity. Across the region, creative organisations are coming together to create something extraordinary and show that the North East is a creative powerhouse.
