Our next read is The Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller. A classic book written and published in Paris in 1934 but subsequently banned in a lot of countries!!
I chose this, partly because we haven’t read any classics but also as it is the opposite of death!
Deemed too pornographic for its time it will be interesting to see what we think now.
We will be gathering on Wednesday 17th December to discuss our thoughts.
I do hope you can join me.

This month's book was given ⭐️⭐️ out of a possible 5! The general consensus felt was that it wasn't a book that could be avidly read, unlike a riveting novel that you're eager to know what happened next. The historical facts were interesting however the group felt the author could have organised the content a little better. We may give non-fiction another try later next year!
Stay tuned as our next read will be announced tomorrow morning!

We are heading into the dark chilly nights of spooky season and our next book is quite apt!
Stiff by Mary Roach explores what happens to the body once life has gone!
It's our first proper delve into non fiction! 😬

This month's book was given ⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of a possible 5! A book probably best read on a sun lounger with a cocktail in your hand! A fun light-hearted read that unfortunately struggled to provide real depth to the many issues that it contained.
Check in tomorrow to find out about our next read! 🤩

Tonight we gave Never by Rick Astley ⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of a possible 5! The general thought was that the 1st half was enjoyable but then it became a bit repetitive. There was a good smattering of 80's nostalgia however, you won't find any behind the scenes bad behaviour or kiss and tell because Rick is just too lovely! 🤩
