Writing just got more accessible for over 2 million primary school pupils nationwide. 🎉

Visual communication experts Widgit Software and literacy specialists Crick Software have joined forces to bring over 10,000 Widgit Symbols into Clicker and Clicker Writer, completely free for current subscribers. 📝

Already used in over 7,000 UK schools, Clicker supports children who struggle with writing by helping them build sentences, choose vocabulary, and improve grammar. Now, when pupils use Clicker, they will be able to access Widgit Symbols as they write, as well as in the supportive writing grids, spell checker, and word prediction tool.

This is a huge step toward more inclusive literacy, especially for learners with SEND, speech and language needs, or those learning English as an additional language.

This Sunday, October 5, marks World Teachers’ Day, where we celebrate teachers and the wonderful work they do to educate and inspire our children all over the country.

Teachers make a profound difference to the lives of those they teach. A good teacher will be remembered forever!

At Living Paintings, we’re proud to support teachers of blind and visually impaired children.

We offer a wide range of Touch to See books and resources, free to borrow from our postal library, that cover key subjects on the National Curriculum. These help blind and visually impaired children engage with learning, grow in confidence, and feel included amongst their peers.
