At Abacus the equipment, sound quality and acoustic definition are of the highest standard. The room doubles as both a rehearsal and recording space. Extensively sound proofed, there are no unwanted clangs and reverberations other than the clear sound of what you want to hear - your performance. The room is ergonomically designed to suit most 3 - 5 piece bands. Equipment. The room is equipped with Marshall and Fender combos,Trace Elliot 4x10 Bass Rig, Pearl drum kit, Yamaha PA with Peavey HiSys2 speakers with mics with stands.
There is no extra charge for using the equipment.
Record your rehearsal
When writing new material it is sometimes easy to forget what you did from one week to the next, so how good would it be to be able to record your rehearsal, pick out the best bits and Mp3 them to the whole band; so no one has an excuse to not perform it properly next time. The highest quality of acoustic dampening has been used to give you optimum control of your sound for that professional recording at an affordable price.
Recording equipment includes high-quality audio interfaces, 24 channel mixing desk with compressors, sound modeling, industry standard microphones routed through professional multi-recording software. High quality guitar and amps are also available to hire if required.
Produce, record, engineer - it's your choice
Although we specialize in customizing your sound and the production of your material we are equally happy to just record and engineer. If you wish to bring in your own engineer/producer this is not a problem.
Voiceover and talking books
We also provide a service for recording voice-over and talking books at very competitive corporate rates.
Guitar and Bass
All guitar and bass lessons are tailored to your individual needs, there is no particular format as such. How many times have you had a guitar or bass lesson, gone home and practiced it all week, only to be told that you have done it wrong. This no longer happens at Abacus as your lesson can be recorded along with a customized backing track. This enables a very positive and stress-free learning experience suitable for beginners to more advanced players.
