Established in 1996 it has become an essential and much loved publication for those with a passion for insects. The editorial team behind the journal contains well-known names within the subject, all of whom have a great deal of field experience. The journal contents include a mixture of contributions from amateurs and professionals, including field tips, identification articles, site guides, topi

cal news and anecdotal information, as well as high quality photographs, aimed to increase the knowledge of readers and to encourage higher standards of identification and recording. Our ethos is to inform as well as to entertain and the lively and engaging style of published material reflects this. As well as publishing the journal four times a year Atropos publishes instant news of migrant insects seen across the British Isles on the popular Flight Arrivals page on the Atropos website, where recorders can submit details of their own sightings and photographs instantly. Atropos Books sells key titles for insect recorders at competitive prices, which can be ordered online, via post or phone. Atropos Publishing produces books on the subject, including The Moths of Glamorgan, The Moths of Warwickshire, Butterfly Atlas of the Scottish Borders and Foodplant List for the Caterpillars of Britains’s Butterflies and Larger Moths.
