Hi everyone. Ladies, and gentlemen, and as my favourite sleep podcast phrases it, “people beyond the binary”, also living and non living and liminal beings of every sort, sentient gases, universal consciousnesses and microscopic particles. Could you do me a solid and share this for me with your friendship group? I’m seeking anyone at all to contribute literally anything* for a new zine called “Not Art 3 - yet more things that are not art”. There will be no reward in this life for your efforts other than my gratitude and a credit and a copy of the fanzine digitally or snail mail. The zine will be sold and I’ll spend the money on more paper and staples and then ask for favours again. What’s different about this, if you haven’t seen the OG Not Art (a few copies knocking about still) is that I’m asking for submissions of anything you can send me as a jpg to [email protected] I don’t want to say any more than that. Please send me things that are not art. Anything at all. Don’t overthink it if you can help it. Or do if you prefer but there lies insanity believe me.

DIY PRINTING/INDIE PRESS

I tried to get my manuscript published for over a year. Conventional publishers were occasionally encouraging, but the overriding message was it wasn’t for them. The implication was it wasn’t commercial enough. So using skills garnered from my time studying graphic design, I typeset the manuscript and designed the cover ready for printing under my own imprint. This inspired me to do the same for other people. If your writing is niche, idiosyncratic, unconventional or otherwise unlikely to gain interest from major publishing houses, I offer bespoke design and layout and different packages for small print runs of books you can sell online or hand to hand. I am learning this as I go, but feel keen to support original writing. Email your manuscript to [email protected] for consideration. All styles welcomed, poetry, sci-fi, graphic novels, literary, non-fiction.
