Happy Saturday Squatchers! 💜 Next up delivering an absolute beast of a mix for us is the wonderful .dnb from London 🙌🏼

HDDN first got into the scene after attending a gig at the legendary O2 Brixton Academy in 2018 where he saw Dimension, Sub Focus & Jauz, ‘the clash of good vibes and dirty bass lines had me obsessed, exploring the genre deeper and stumbling across one of the most diverse genres!’

This obsession soon led to him learning to DJ as a hobby but then after sharing his dreams with his girlfriend she convinced him to chase for what he wanted. ‘I started playing at house parties and got my first gig! Things where I didn’t believe I could do has been done. My first house party was a smash!’ 🥳

Dance floor and jump up are his preferred genres with influences from Sub Focus, Tantrum Desire, Sota & Primate. Creating mixes that take you on a journey from the ‘euphoric and melodic atmospheres that evoke emotional moments to that raw energy to immediately turn them emotional moments into skank faces & skankers!’ 🔥

His first gig in London demonstrated his immense skill at this, making the debut even more memorable, the room was filled with energy and screams of ‘F**k Off!'. 'It had felt I’d shared those rave moments with others capturing that same energy.’ ✨️

He loves the amount of people in the scene who share the same love for the music, and it was his desire to give back to the culture that inspired him to begin production this year. ‘Being able to produce songs that would make people feel the way I felt when going to raves’

So until he releases the album he aspires to create, he is gifting our ears with this incredible high energy mix guaranteed to kick start your weekend! 😁

Many a Saturday morning spent flicking through Vinyl, then taking them over to the old soundlab in the corner for a quick listen, on terrible headphones before buying - some gems were found, some mistakes were also made 😃

Kicking off our latest guest mix series is a true Junglist at heart, a beautiful soul that embodies the nostalgia of the 90s rave era whether that be from her sound selections to her great fashion sense or the many festivals she hops through summer, everybody say a big hello to ! 🥳💜

K3iratc is based in Kent, UK and has been into electronic music since she was a kid, but it was scrolling through YouTube one day as a teenager where she stumbled upon videos of jungle and her love for the genre was born 🎶

It didn’t take long after discovering the ever-expanding sounds that jungle has to offer before she embarked on her own DJ journey; ‘I started mixing when I was 16 and was inspired by all the old 90s mixes like World Dance, Fantasia, Dreamscape etc’. Whilst it was the 90s that drew her in, as she has dived into the genre she has taken inspiration from artists such as Silva Snipa, 4am Kru and Cheetah who she has supported for in the past.

One of her favourite things about the community ‘is the collective appreciation for the music and the passion to keep the original roots and culture alive’, and you can hear her own appreciation for the original roots in the mixes that she creates. 💜

Whilst jungle is the genre that takes centre stage for K3iratc, she also enjoys mixing 2-step garage, Bassline & Dubstep and she loves curating mixes that have a duality between light and dark, that are ‘melodic, glimmering backings with deep, grimy basslines’.

‘Music is an essential part of my life, as cliche as it is, it was there for me in the darkest times of my life and being a part of the rave community gives me excitement and fulfilment out of life’
