Tomorrow is Remembrance Sunday Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust join them on the slopes tomorrow to remember those who gave their lives for us. We will remember them at 11am.

Join us as we switch on Christmas Pavilion Gardens Pavilion Gardens with High Peak Comps we will be broadcasting live and hosting the bandstand.

Bakewell road has now reopened

We've reopened the A6 in Buxton following work to take down some trees that we were concerned about. Apologies for any delays caused while the road was closed.

The A6 is closed from Fairfield Roundabout to Morrisons. Please follow the diversion until all the trees have been made safe.

We've concerns about trees that are on land next to the A6 in Buxton, so we've taken the decision to close the road to all traffic and pedestrians.

We are in the process of getting contractors to take the trees down, but in the meantime we have just put up barriers on the A6 just after the roundabout with Morrisons, and just before the roundabout near Weatherspoons. Diversions will be in place shortly.

We do realise that this will cause issues with traffic in the town, but public safety must come first. Please do not go through the barriers.
