Drum Lessons at the Drum Cellar! 🥁

Now I’ve got this lovely big space, I’ve finally been able to expand my teaching set up to two full drum kits! Identical drum sizes and cymbal set ups, so I can demonstrate much more easily, but more importantly I can finally play songs and jam with drummers taking lessons! We’ve been rocking out to absolute bangers of all sorts, from Deftones, Nirvana, and Catfish and the Bottlemen to James Brown, Bruno Mars, the Meters and many more.

Drumming lessons are for everyone, from budding young musicians to adults who have always wanted to have a go but never got around to it (I promise you are never too old!) My lessons are based around studying music you love to develop both drumming and aural skills, alongside learning the fundamentals of drum rudiments and technique, exploring different genres and styles, referencing influential drummers, grooves and songs, all with the goal of enabling you to play any piece of music you like!

For drummers who can already play, there is always a new style or genre to learn about, a challenging song to overcome, a technical weakness that could be strengthened. Advanced lessons are available for anyone who would like a little help to push their drumming to the next level.

From young to old, aspiring to experienced, you are welcome at the Drum Cellar! 🥁

Welcome to the Drum Cellar and Recording Studio! Hinckley’s new music studio. Drum lessons, professional recording services and remote drum tracking, all under one roof!

I’m Jamie Robinson, and this studio has been a dream of mine for a long, long time. Now, after months of refurbishment, sourcing equipment and testing the room, everything is finally up and running!

I’ve been holding lessons in here for a few weeks with my upgraded teaching facilities, now with 2 (almost) identical drum kits, a nice big screen, and a lot more space. Lessons have certainly taken a big step up! If you want to learn the drums, give me a shout. 🥁

The new dedicated recording drum kit is finally set up and sounding beautiful, and had it’s first run at a remote recording drum track. I've also had my first artist come and record a fantastic little EP. I’m pleased to say everything is running pretty smoothly!

It’s been a huge project, it's taken a lot of hard work, and I couldn't have done it by myself. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the journey to my own studio.

Now I’m finally back to drumming and recording!
