Tucked away in the heart of The Eagle is one of Cambridge’s most historic pubs 🍻
Dating back to 1667, The Eagle has welcomed everyone from students and academics to RAF pilots during WWII, whose signatures still cover the ceiling in the famous “RAF Bar.” ✈️
But perhaps its most famous moment came in 1953, when scientists Francis Crick and James Watson walked into the pub announcing they had “discovered the secret of life” after uncovering the structure of DNA 🧬
Today, it’s more than just a pub. It’s a living piece of Cambridge history where science, stories, and centuries of conversation meet over a pint.
