It’s taken a while to look through all the available roadside shots from the Dave Day ride 2025. I’ve finally found one of me on the 800DE in an Hawaiin shirt. Full set of waterproofs underneath. It was raining off and on and 28 degrees at the time. It was like boil in the bag. Needed a few pints to rehydrate once at the digs.

I made a solid effort to wave back or give a thumbs up to every single person on the route today from Knutsford to Barrow-In-Furness . The weather was hit and miss and yet spectators gave their time to turn up. I’m guessing maybe hundreds of thousands along the entire route. I must admit the welcome cheers by the locals as we entered the populated areas made every second of the journey worth while. I’ve never witnessed anything like it. This is what it feels like to be part of the biking community 😬👍🏻

9 years ago today. My first bike. The mighty Fox Orange VStrom 650. I have great memories of that bike. It might be one reason for me recently buying the 800DE. Also watching a certain set of bike reviews multiple times from the best straight talker in the business to help me make my mind up. Nathan Millward - bike traveller. Lots of YouTube vids on my 800DE to come so get subscribed 👍🏻👍🏻
