Felt good to be back on the tools this week. Last werk was the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through, but getting stuck back into work again… it felt good. Helps clear the head & is funny how keeping busy brings back all the good memories too, especially the ones of him and his dodgy DVDs back in the day 😂.

Finishing the day off with a curry at International in Bradford and some quality time with the wife tonight ❤️ Have a good evening all and once again much love ❤️🫶🪨

Close up angle of the chisel I use for dressing reclaimed stone as requested by you guys.

As I have said before I only use my chisel for on an average 2 or 3 days before sharpening but please bear in mind the amount of stone I process in that duration. I like to keep mine as sharp as possible because it helps back it off easier also meaning less force from the hammer too, easier on the joints. As when a chisel rounds over it requires more force as it’s breaking the stone not cutting it. The tungsten may wear down slightly quicker this way but I would rather than a long shank than a short shank.

I also have six of these that I use in rotation so am not making regular trips to get the sharpen and normally my full set last me around 2 to 3 weeks.

Driving up towards Halifax this morning I never forget the day I decided to go for it and go self employed. Ringing my father to tell him and his words was go for it lad, what you got to lose. Along with the full support of my wife, Helping me get set up to go on my own with the daily phone calls to my mum to see how is was getting on.
