This open-top bus ride gave us the best views in Scarborough - and it’s back every day this summer 😎

The Beachcomber open-top bus is running daily again - and we finally gave it a go. Safe to say, we absolutely loved it!

We had perfect weather for it, which made the experience even better - sitting up top in the fresh sea air, with uninterrupted views of the Scarbados coastline, was amazing.

We travelled from the Scarborough Spa stop all the way up to Peasholme Park, passing the beaches, marina, arcades and even the Ferris Wheel along the way.

To get to the Spa stop, we used the old Victorian tramway - which has just celebrated its 150th anniversary! - and it made the whole thing feel like a proper classic seaside day out.

Peasholme Park at the end of the route is a lovely spot too - peaceful, green and perfect for a stroll or picnic. It’s beautifully kept and often hosts live music and open-air events in summer, so it’s worth checking what’s on.

It’s just £12 for a hop-on, hop-off day ticket for a group of four people, so it’s really easy to make a full day of it and explore the bays at your own pace – great for families with kids, especially if you're beach-hopping or visiting the attractions.

And if you’re planning to head further down the coast, the Coaster buses between Scarborough and Bridlington are back from now on too.

This is definitely one to try while the sun’s shining!

One of our favourite takeaways in Hull serves restaurant-quality scran - and there’s NEW stuff on the menu this summer 😋

Top Dawg's on Southcoates Lane, owned and run by two talented chefs, has just dropped a whole load of new menu items, so we headed straight down to try them!

They did not disappoint. The Dirty Pig pizza is stacked with pulled pork, chorizo, nduja, hot honey and pork scratchings, and the chicken, chorizo, nduja pesto and hot honey pizza is absolutely scran-tastic as well.

The grilled cheese BBQ Piglet burger was incredible, and the spicy Mexican burger with bacon, hunter’s chicken mac & cheese, dirty doner fries, BBQ ribs, hot honey wings, and fiery sriracha wings were all amazing too.

We also got to try their new thicker ice cream milkshakes, thanks to their upgraded machine - our picks were the Waffle Lotus and the Cookie Dough Kinder.

They deliver to an even bigger area than ever now too - with a 3.5 mile delivery radius!

This trendy NEW menu is bringing Dubai chocolate and more to Hull city centre 😍

If you’ve not been yet, Heavenly Desserts UK is a super stylish spot on Paragon Street serving up Instagram-worthy sweets and indulgent brunches in a sleek, modern setting. They’ve just launched a brand new menu, and it’s seriously worth checking out.

The Dubai Chocolate loaded pancakes are what you’re here for - fluffy, thick pancakes stacked with gooey milk chocolate, crunchy pistachio, and a generous pour of hot chocolate sauce, served with Madagascan vanilla gelato. It’s rich, filling, and honestly one of the best pancake stacks we’ve ever tasted.

But it's not all about dessert. Their new hot honey halloumi flatbread is amazing; chewy focaccia topped with pan-fried halloumi, chilli-spiced honey, garlic yoghurt, rocket, dill and pomegranate.
