Hey, I’m back! 👋

If you’ve been following my stories, you’ll know I’ve been active behind the scenes, sharing snippets of my day-to-day and keeping busy with amazing client work. But I’ve been feeling the pull to show up here on the grid again with more purpose and authenticity.

So here I am, returning to this space with fresh energy and lots to share.

✨ Over the past 4 years as a Social Media Manager, I’ve learned so much from strategy and storytelling to what really works in the ever-changing world of social. I’m lucky to work with amazing clients from various industries which adds to my experience. I’ll be sharing those insights, plus my top tips to help you grow and connect more meaningfully with your audience online.

📸 I’ll also be posting from time to time some of the content I create with other brands — especially small businesses in the Cambridge area, where most of my work has been focused lately. I want to help raise awareness, spark ideas, and show you what’s possible! So, I’m open for collaborations!

📣. TO ALL MY CAMBRIDGE NETWORK!

I'm excited to announce that I'll be assuming the role of Ambassador for Power Up Business Networking in Cambridge!

I have been attending these events since they began last year, and as a result, I've made some wonderful connections! It's important to take some time away from your desk and enjoy in-person events! They're incredibly beneficial for mental health.

Spring is here, and it feels the perfect time for a fresh introduction ✨

With so many new connections lately, it’s about time I would say hello and share a little bit about myself. So here are some facts about me:

🔸I’m Yvonne, your friendly Social Media Manager and Instagram strategist

🔹I’m based near the lovely city of Cambridge, UK, where I live with my husband, our three daughters, and 2 cats.

🔸Originally from Italy, I also have Dutch heritage from my mum's side.

🔹I grew up in a village north of Venice, nestled among the rolling hills, famous for its Prosecco wine.

🔸I’ve always been passionated about travelling and learning languages; that's how I ended up in the Uk, and I’ve been here for more than 20 years!

🔹I also lived and worked in other cities such as Amsterdam and Dubai!

🔸One of my first jobs was working for an airline, which taught me many great skills! I then transitioned into the media and publishing industry in a sales role, which also offered me the opportunity to travel internationally to meet clients, mostly airlines and luxury hotels.

🔹I took a career break to raise my kids, and after couple of years, I found it challenging to reenter the workspace and find something fulfilling that would allow me some flexibility.

🔸That’s when I decided to retrain in social media marketing and became a freelancer. It was scary at first! But over time, I’ve gained the confidence, and I’m now fully booked with amazing clients!

🔹My superpowers lie in connecting and building relationships! With over a decade of experience in sales and customer-facing roles, I’ve honed these skills pretty well!

We are half way through January and you may be wondering how to make your content work hard for you in 2024?

👉Before you do, always start to identify what you want to achieve as a business and on social media in the next 12 months. Then break it down into short and long-term goals.

This will help you to refine a content plan which supports your main business goals and help you to focus on what's important.

A lot depends on your current situation and where you are with your Instagram and business journey.

🔸Let’s imagine you are just starting out on Instagram - in this case your primary goals would be likely to raise your brand’s awareness and build an engaged audience creating content which is aimed to attract your ideal client and get you noticed in your niche.

🔸If you already have a well-established account on Instagram and have an engaged audience, then maybe one of your goals could be increasing the sales of your service or products. The content will focus on nurturing the existing audience by highlighting the benefits of your product or service and showcasing you are the solution to their problem / desire.

🔸Perhaps you are planning to launch a brand new service or product offer, in the next couple of months. In this case, your focus will be to prepare the audience well in advance so they can get excited for what you are going to offer, and you can build momentum with a carefully planned content strategy to increase desire and maximise your impact.

As you can see there are lots of different ways to plan your content which will vary according to your unique goals and situation.

In 2024, I'm focused on stepping into my power⚡️. Here are some key things I plan to embrace:

🌟Better planning - being a busy mum and working as a freelancer is important for me to organise my time so I can maximise my productivity and accomplish more things.

🌟Being intentional with everything I do and investing my time in the right activities that align with my goals.

🌟Be courageous and stop playing small! Continue to step outside my comfort zone whether is doing more talking videos, participating in more networking events or exploring new collaborations.

🌟Health & Fitness - I honestly need to start prioritising movement and more exercise in my day!

🌟Be gentle with myself - being a mum I chose to go at a slower pace as I aim to keep a healthy work/life balance. It’s easy to compare our journeys to others and feel that we’re not doing enough, but we shouldn’t put too much pressure on ourselves and understand that everyone is on a different path.

🌟Upskilling - every year I always dedicate time to learn new skills, whether is improving my graphic design or video editing for reels - learning is part of who I am and it keeps me motivated.

That’s quite a list to keep me busy for 2024! 😃
