Early morning cuppa! Like 02.30 early 🤦🏼‍♀️

Thought I’d light the fire too 🔥 as it’s a wee bit nippy 🥶

Washing machine emptied and back on. Dishwasher emptied ready to refill.

About to start and prep tonight’s tea

And hoping someone’s back asleep soon so I can be 😴

Calling farmers

FARMERS PLEASE READ

This is a big week for farmers with the budget looming on Wednesday.

So many farmers feel enslaved to a system that is failing them. A system that is squeezing every last drop from them.

Where does hope for the future lie?

Right now I am getting emails and responses to social media posts from thousands of people who want to support British farmers and buy direct from them. But many are struggling to find farmers near them.

I have made a decision to invest in a new website for Produce & Provide because I know we can connect these people with farmers and make a difference.

But the truth is, right now there are too many pins on our map that are not backed up by Producer Profiles where people can find more about what farmers offer and how to contact them.
Understandably this is frustrating the people who are actively seeking to support them.

I believe that collectively we can make buying food direct from British farmers are realistic proposition for all of those supporters. But we need numbers and we need a widespread distribution of farms to achieve that.

Don’t listen to those who don’t understand the true the of new IHT rules, or who think farmers are handed large subsidies every day of the week. These are people who just don’t want to understand and never will.

But there are millions of those who do and will, given the opportunity. The interest is there. The support is there. And the time for change is now.

I have had to make a decision to levy a small fee for farmers to have a pin on the map and a Producer Profile on the new website, because I want us to be able to do more for farmers.

If you’ve had a pin on our map free of charge for the past few years, please consider registering your farm on the new site as soon as possible.

Yes, we are asking £3.99 a month. But if you register now you will pay nothing for 3 months and if we are failing to achieve anything, you can unsubscribe at any time.

Just visit the website at www.produceandprovide.co.uk

Thanks.

Are you ready??? 🧑‍🎄
