The Inverness Castle Experience just hit another milestone — the new Saltire Bistro now has a living roof 🌼 This green roof isn’t just pretty — it helps pollinators, manages rainwater, insulates the building and protects the roof below.

The Inverness Castle Experience is thrilled to unveil creative collaborations with two of the Highlands’ most inspiring designers – Clare Campbell of Prickly Thistle and Sandra Murray, Artist-couturier.

As part of our commitment to celebrating local talent and bringing Highland stories to life through contemporary design, Clare and Sandra will each create original pieces that reflect the 'Spirit of the Highlands', adding texture and depth to the visitor experience.

👗 Style with a Sense of Place
Sandra Murray’s commissioned frock coat design will showcase her signature couture style and deep cultural ties, offering a striking visual narrative rooted in Highland heritage.

🧵 A New Tartan for a New Chapter
Clare Campbell is crafting a bespoke cloth—woven with meaning—that will feature in retail items and staff uniforms, becoming a living, wearable story of the Highlands.
