The Saltire Bistro is the perfect place after, before or during your ticketed experience to gather and unwind, with wish cards for your hopes and resolutions, a well to drop them into, and a special New Year’s Day cocktail to toast what’s ahead 🍸

Food will be served on Hogmanay (last orders for food 5pm) and New Year’s Day (last orders for food 3pm) the cocktail menu will be flowing too.

The Castle Shop will be open too - ideal for a relaxed browse and maybe a little New Year treat. 🛍️

Start the year with a little Castle magic ✨

This New Year’s Day at the Saltire Bistro, leave the cooking to us and ease into the year ahead. Make a wish using one of our wish cards and pop it into the well to mark your resolution, then raise a glass with a special New Year’s Day cocktail.

We’ll be serving a slightly different menu on Hogmanay and New Year’s Day, with breakfast from 10 am to 11 am, a Sunday-style carvery between 12 pm and 3 pm, and small plates and sharers from 11 am to 3 pm.

Slow moments, good vibes, and a little Castle magic to start the year right.

No ticket required for Saltire Bistro, Castle Shop and Gardens. Remember, as well as unlimited off-peak visits to the Experience, your Highlander Pass gives you 10% off in the Bistro and Shop all year round.

Slow things down this Boxing Day and spend the day at the Castle. Step into our winter preview, explore at your own pace, and enjoy time together away from the rush of the festive season.

Buy a ticket for The Experience and be guided by the Seanchaidh through the past, present and future of the Highlands, discovering stories, voices and moments that shape the place we call home. Visit: 10 am until 4 pm - last entry 2 pm

Afterwards, relax with food and drink (from 10 am - 3 pm), browse the Castle Shop (from 10 am - 4 pm), and let us take care of the rest. A gentle, welcoming way to enjoy Boxing Day in the Highlands.
