Hamish are happy to announce that we will be supporting George King in his efforts to complete the paperclip challenge. George is one of our esteemed associates, we’ll be supporting him by paying for his fuel during the challenge.

The challenge is to start with a paperclip and trade up to a house without spending any money on the trades. This could take some time but we’re very honoured to be supporting Mikeysline and the vital work that they do. Once we reach a house through trading up then Hamish will then cover the costs of selling the house at which point we’ll donate the proceeds to Mikeysline. Make sure to be following Hamish as we'll be updating the challenge as it goes forward.

Pictured here, George has already made the first trade. Swapped the paperclip for a Mikeysline Teddy Bear.

If you can help out any way then please email [email protected]

Creative artists in Inverness hoping to take their act to the Fringe Festival next year are benefitting from a ‘safe’ and ‘encouraging’ space to try out new material, thanks to the efforts of an enterprising arts student.

Young actor Betsy King, with the help of charity Enable Works Highland, has realised her goal of setting up her own event to support upcoming artists in the area to practice their performances.

Her new variety show, fully titled “Raw Acts – New Material, Bold Connections and Endless Beats”, is a success story of the charity’s new ‘Tune In’ pilot, a project helping young people aged 16-25 to join the music community, broaden their skills and advance their career prospects within the music and events industry.

Good evening everyone!

Apologies for this delayed post I have been busy with Uni work, I am so proud and excited to share with you that my event that took place on the 2nd Nov at The Bike Shed - Events Venue/Coffee House was a SUCCESS!

I had around 40 people attend and had 8 AMAZING acts show their pieces! We had Tony Romaine Music performing the guitar and keyboard. Gemma singing traditional Spanish songs with everyday objects as instruments. The hilarious Mike Hendry. Sunny McDougall Moodie performing Shakespeare! Cathryn Cash being funny too. Adam Smith acting out. Lastly two other comedians Adam McLeod and Marc Ross.

Lastly I want to give a massive shout out to the wonderful Alexander Williamson - Creative Content for being the photographer on the night and producing these beautiful photos!

Thanks so much again for everyone who attended and having faith in me I shall hopefully be hosting another one end of January/ start of February!!
