Early cloud and freezing fog patches will only slowly clear this morning to leave a sunny but cold day. Cloud thickening from the northwest later in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 5°C.

Tonight

A mostly dry night, with variable amounts of cloud. However, clear spells will allow some chilly temperatures. Wind increasing overnight with cloud thickening and outbreaks of light rain towards dawn. Minimum temperature 1°C.

Thursday

Cloudy with some light rain at first. This clearing away southwards, with sunny spells developing. Windy, especially on coasts, and cold. Maximum temperature 5°C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday

Cloudy with risk of some snow early Friday. Then cold and sunny, although wintry showers likely near Norfolk and Suffolk coasts. Feeling colder in wind along coasts, easing during Sunday.

Staying generally dry, with cloud breaks developing in some places. This will allow temperatures to drop and frost to develop in some places. Minimum temperature -1°C.

Wednesday

The odd showers possible at first in the morning, clearing up to leave a dry day. Strong winds developing in the afternoon, particularly along the coast. Maximum temperature 5°C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday

Mostly dry on Thursday and Saturday with sunny spells. Outbreaks of snow possible on Friday, with some coastal snow showers overnight. Very cold throughout, with strong winds expected at times.

A few showers possible at first, but then cloud quickly breaking up, allowing temperatures to drop and frost to develop. Staying mostly dry overnight. Minimum temperature -1°C.

Tuesday

A dry day with light winds and good spells of sunshine. There may be the odd shower along the coast. Cold overnight with clear skies developing and widespread frost expected. Maximum temperature 6°C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday

Dry with variable cloud for Wednesday. Showers Thursday morning, which may be wintry. Then mostly dry Thursday afternoon and Friday. Turning very cold.
