What actually matters ⤵

If you are serious about growing your business using IG, FB groups and other platforms, first make sure to save this.

Now, cutting to the chase:

If you're too busy jumping from client calls, to answering questions in groups and leaving content creation the last thing on your list, you will lose momentum.

With new IG algorithm consistency and relevancy are rewarded, and with consumer behaviour shifting each year, you will want to stay top of mind when your audience is more inclined to buy.
That oftentimes happens around BFCM.

Whether you have an offer or not is not relevant. People wait until that time of the year to spend money on services and products they've been thinking about.

The best way to get on the list? Stay visible and be part of the conversation they are having with themselves by showing wat's possible when they choose to invest in you.

I see you 👀

You’re always working, your mind never rests, and you have to worry about content creation on top of it all.

You’ve google one too many times ‘how to grow my followers on IG’ and there’s lots of BS advice about miraculously turning a setting on IG that will make your reels go viral and you’ll be flooded with followers.

…How did that work for you so far?

Posting on IG is encouraged. 

Following best practices is encouraged. 

Adjusting to algorithm changes is necessary.

But what if I told you there is a different way to grow your followers on IG without posting more on IG?

Enter: FB groups

When you research the fb groups your ideal clients are hanging out in and start posting regularly while building connections, you’ll be amazed how many of those get nosey and start to look for you on other platforms.

But posting isn't enough. 

You need to optimize your profile so they can easily land on your IG page.

That means having a link in bio leading to your IG (or any other social media platform!) and your services, website, or landing pages.

The magic of this method? People who will come back to follow you are people who want to see more of what you have to offer. They’re not just random people.

The cherry on top? The algorithm will understand who your ideal audience is and how our content is to more people.

My 2026 Predictions (marketing and consumer behaviour edition):

1. Consumer behaviour is shifting each year. The market is becoming more competitive, so businesses who want to be remembered have to stay consistent each week and build visibility & recognition ahead of any big events (i.e Black Friday, Cyber Monday)

2. Christmas shopping now starts as early as the end of October with early BFCM offers and all businesses are taking full advantage of this with aggressive offers early on. One of the reasons for this? Customers being more cautious with their spending habits before huge sales. Why would they pay full price for something today when they can get it on offer in a month?

3. Think how this affects your customers, too and reverse engineer an action plan.

4. Are there any companies not affected by this trend? Yep. Big companies that built a SUPER loyal customer base like Apple won’t cave to this trend because demand is high all year round. The product is basically deeply embedded into customers’ annual purchasing habits by becoming an extension of their identity.

5. With ads and information being thrown at us 24/7 from everywhere, people started craving simplicity when it comes to content. Step by step guides and ACTIONABLE how to grow your IG faster than complex subjects.

6. Lead magnets are great, but using the same structure you’d use for a lead magnet in your regular free content (checklists, cheat sheets, beginner guides) will get more eyeballs on your page and turn them into traffic.

7. Share is the most rated metric for success on IG. But saves also help you grow and give you a clear indication that what you have to say is valuable to your audience. Do more of that.

8. Thought leadership content will surpass trends because people are more mindful of their time and scrolling habits.

9. Evergreen content is the step forward, especially with all the platforms becoming search engines (+ your content now ranks on Google, too).

10. Pinterest is the best platform for repurposed content. It can also be used as a strategy to understand what kind of content your audience wants to see and be based on their aspirational identity.

11. Pinterest trends are still accurate and they are still great at giving you an idea of consumer behaviour shifts per season, so don’t sleep on it!

12. The new Meta algorithm rewards business owners who took the time to understand their customer at each stage of the journey. The content that answers their questions before they even ask them will position you as the go-to in your industry.

I used to be terrified by this 👀

You've probably seen a keyboard warrior in action.

They sit behind the computer just typing negative comments and casually leaving g them on posts, in fb groups, on ads. The list foes on and on.

So, the idea of posting in fb groups? It was absolutely terrifying to me.

But then I realized I was consciously choosing to say no to opportunities out of fear.

There are many great communities full of opportunities from podcast interviews, collaboration, and client enquiries.

Once it clicked to me that I was saying no to all of these opportunities for no good reason, I decided to stop, let fear run the show, and start showing up.

My reach has spiked📉

My enquiries were flooding in📩

My followers started growing on IG even when I wasn't actually posting (this is one of the easiest ways to grow organically, btw) 👥

Now I use this method for my clients, too and it drives pretty amazing results!

It sounds cliche, but everything you want really is on the other side of fear.

So this is your reminder to just go and do that thing that's sitting on your to-do list, gaining dust, because it may just be the catalyst between your current reality and your desired one 💫

1️⃣ I didn’t implement what I learned straight away, which led to information overwhelm.

I invested in many courses, memberships, and a mastermind, so I can always have a finger on the pulse of the industry while learning how to mix content strategy with psychology.

The learning process was long, but I don't regret any of it! (Despite the overwhelm, l

2️⃣ I didn’t follow up with people who showed interest in working with me because I let imposter syndrome run the show. I am happy I moved past that because my goal is to help business owners grow and thrive in the online space 💁‍♀️

3️⃣ I stopped posting on IG for a few months, knowing how important it is to be consistent and build my visibility. 6 to be back into a rhytm!

4️⃣ I didn’t batch create my content because I let overwhelm take over. I have now developed a strategic system that's easier to implement for me and my clients!

Not everything wrong, but there have definitely been some challenging moments.

Do I regret them? No, not really, because every single step in my journey got me where I am today and I'm doing what what I love: helping businesses grow and thrive in the online space.

I wouldn't have thought that this would be my next step when I was working my way up in management positions in the hospitality industry, but I am so happy everything turned out just the way it was supposed to🫶

Posting every day for the sake of it is a recipe for burnout.

Can that work? Absolutely. Many businesses post 7 days a week.

But here's the thing. Unless you plan each post strategically to speak to your audience wherever they are in their journey, it won't work.

Just sharing a quote that won't relate to them or a promotional Canva graphic won't cut it anymore.

You need to know your ideal client inside out and create each post with intention.
