East Anglia Guitar Hero: Part Two

24 bands. Two hours. Progressively heavier.

James returned with part two of his East Anglia Guitar Hero selection on Suffolk ’n’ Metal, taking us from big hooks and hard rock riffs into the region’s heavier extremes.

Opening with Black River Renegade’s ‘Fever Dream’ and closing with Cradle of Filth’s ‘Her Ghost in the Fog’, this was a journey through just how much heavy music East Anglia has to offer.

THE GUITAR HERO SHOW: TAKE TWO.

Last week’s show had a few technical issues. Those have now been fixed, so we’re giving James’s show another run exactly as it was supposed to sound.

Before he starts shredding his imaginary plastic guitar, James opens with some new-to-us music and submissions:

This week on Suffolk ’n’ Metal, the spotlight is firmly on Uridium.

They joined us in the studio for a full live session, showcasing material from their new album and talking us through where the band is now, what has gone into the record, and what comes next.

Alongside the live session, we’re already looking ahead to Bloodstock 2027. With the first names announced, we pick out some of the artists we’re most excited to see and play a selection of tracks from the bands already making next year’s festival look very interesting indeed.
