We pause and remember our colleague, Mark Milsome, who was tragically killed 7 years ago today.
Filmmaking is never worth losing a life over, and in the case of Mark it was due to the fact that “the risk of being harmed or fatally injured was not effectively recognised, assessed, communicated or managed.”
Since then Andra Milsome () and the Mark Milsome Foundation () have done incredible work shining a light on Health and Safety, enabling safe shooting environments and encouraging those that spot danger to speak out and protect those around them. They run a trainee program enabling young people to get the best possible start and as an an organisation they have becoming a leading voice in our industry.
We remember Mark, his kindness, his commitment and his friendship, and we pay tribute to Andra and MMF for all the work they have done since his tragic death.
