Congratulations to Guillermo del Toro who is to receive the BFI Fellowship, the British Film Institute’s highest honour. Few storytellers blend imagination, humanity, and horror with such mastery. Our stages at Pinewood Toronto Studios have been home to sets created for his films 'Frankenstein', 'Crimson Peak' and 'Pacific Rim'. We look forward to seeing the celebrations throughout May 2026. 90 years ago construction began on as the first brick was laid in December 1935 with a new stage being completed every 3 weeks. Six million bricks and nine months later, five stages (A Stage - E Stage) and forty-eight acres of backlot were ready for the cameras to roll.

Seeing is believing! 40 years ago audiences were taken on a magical sleigh ride into the cinematic story of 'Santa Claus: The Movie', which was released in the UK on this day. sets were built across multiple stages including Santa's workshop.

We were delighted to have the opportunity to host Spectra Connect and a group of incredible young care leavers at Pinewood Studios this week. November is in the UK, and we were pleased to support some young care leavers by hosting a series of drop-in sessions across the Studio.

Several of our tenants stepped in to give industry insights and engage in inspiring conversations about careers in film and HETV. We look forward to welcoming them back to our in January.
