Fantastic news for Thamesmead School 🎭🎶
Thamesmead School has been awarded a grant from the Shepperton Studios Education Fund to support its summer production, deliver African storytelling workshops for around 210 students, and replace ageing music equipment.

The funding will help ensure all students, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with SEND, can access high-quality creative opportunities, build confidence and showcase their talents to families and the wider community.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of the incomparable Tim Curry. From stage to screen, he brought imagination, wit and heart to every role, creating moments that will live on for decades. During his extensive career he filmed at both Pinewood and Shepperton, bringing haunting brilliance as Darkness in ‘Legend', and swashbuckling charm as Long John Silver in 'Muppet Treasure Island'. Tim helped create cinematic moments that continue to captivate. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

"Inconceivable!" 40 years ago 'The Princess Bride' started production. Scenes across five stages include Westley and Inigo's clifftop duel, Miracle Max's hovel and the Fire Swamp. The beloved fantasy adventure would arrive in cinemas in 1987.
