This is my final farewell as Editor for OM Magazine. It has been a pleasure to create the magazines for you and I hope you have enjoyed the content over the last two years. The Magazine will now be in the lovely hands of Dylan Thain, our new Editor.

In the March edition of OM Magazine there are lots of insightful editorials and some tasty recipes.

For this year’s International Women’s Day, whilst bringing light to its importance, I can’t help but feel deeply saddened by the recent events that involved Claire Chick, a treasured member of the community, earlier this year. It’s quite poignant that this year’s global theme is Accelerate Action, which is calling for a faster pace of change to address the ongoing battle women face.

Thank you to Plymouth Gin Distillery for their fantastic prize for this issue & I hope you enjoy this edition.

Happy New Year! We hope you’ve all had a lovely Christmas and are excited about what 2025 will bring.

We are starting this year off with a great edition of OM Plymouth Magazine from motivating editorials to inspiring Veganuary recipes to try.

Our front cover this month is KF Kitchens who are keen to tell us about the mesmerising kitchen transformation that has completely changed the heart of the home. For National Walk Your Dog Month, we have some beautiful walk suggestions to celebrate the occasion.

We know that January can sometimes feel like a long month, so we’ve got some helpful editorials such as setting those goals for the year and tips for getting you through Blue Monday.

Have a great start to the year!

The time has come to peel back the first door of your advent calendar, the countdown to Christmas has begun!

We’re kicking off the month with lots of festive reads such as homemade gift ideas, a wreath-making guide from Doris the Florist as well as some fantastic routes to get you outside and walking for the Festival of Winter Walks.

We hear from our local solicitors, Woollcombe Yonge, as they discuss the difficult but important topic of mediation. They’ve provided us with some of the benefits of mediation and how to gently engage your children in the process.

Christmas is a gift-giving season, so why not extend that gift of giving by donating a little extra to the Plymouth Food Bank? Head to page 17 to see local donation locations and more information. Spread the love and Christmas cheer a little further this year.

We hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

Spooky Season is here! 🦇

In my honest opinion, the best season is now here which means it’s now acceptable to drape our homes in cobwebs, ghouls and pumpkins. Speaking of, I’ve haunted down some of the top patches in Devon and the South West to find those perfect pumpkins to sculpt. 🎃

To truly abracadabra you into the festive spirit, I’ve got some spells to bring out your inner witch with some easy at-home incantations (remedies) with the help from the amazing dóTERRA essential oils 🪄 And of course, in true form, there are some deadly delectable slow cooker recipes to sink your teeth into with some slow cooker recommendations from HBH Woolacotts.

Local Kitchen Designers, KF Kitchens, has been shortlisted for Kitchen Designer of the Year by KBSA Designer Awards 2024. I’m sure we can all agree, they’ve got our vote!

From myself and the team, Happy Halloween 👻
