We have had a FANTASTIC interview for the People First Podcast today! 🎙️🎉

Our podcast hosting team have been talking to Jane from Tudor Rose Workplace Wellbeing Consultancy, who was one of our amazing session leaders during our Wellbeing Week! 🤩 She did a session with us about mental health and different ways we can help improve our wellbeing.

This week's episode is coming to you LIVE from Central Hall Keighley, where last week we covered a great event that we worked on with Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust - called Taking Good Care of Yourself! 🤩

We spoke to some of the stall holders to learn about their organisations - like Prostate Cancer UK, West Riding & Craven Diabetic Eye Screening Programme and IMAS, which was very interesting!

Our interviewers also got the chance to talk to members of the public who came to the event to see what they thought of it!

For over 40 years, John Wardley has been involved in developing and innovating theme parks like Alton Towers, Chessington World of Adventures Resort, Thorpe Park, Pleasure Beach Resort and more!

Yesterday downstairs in Central Hall Keighley, our podcast members were hard at work interviewing the amazing organisons and visiting guests at the fantastic "Taking Good Care of Yourself" event! 🎙️

⚽️ We got to chat to some of the members of IMAS about their stall, the accessible curling game they were showing off and their exciting upcoming events!

We also Leaned about the work of Prostate Cancer UK, NHS bowel Screening and the West Riding & Craven Diabetic Eye Screening Programme!

This will be a fascinating episode all about the event when it releases next week! 😁

Our team - the people who write questions, research topics, talk in interviews, upload the episodes and share them on our social media pages - are ALL adults with learning disabilities from the People First Keighley and Craven day service. 😁

Every day there are always incredible, hard working members who use the podcast to follow their passions and interests, supported by Podcast Lead Adam and Podcast Worker Matthew. 💪

With a whopping 167 episodes released over 4 years, we can only hope our show can continue to grow, all thanks to our amazing team! 🥳

Today's episode is all about the work we have been doing in our office to look after all of the plants! 🪴

This work has been led by our chief gardener Daniel and Rosie, one of our volunteers who has supported our members to understand how to look after our plants properly. 🌿

We spoke to them about how we look after our plants, why looking after them everyday is so important, and giving some advice to anyone wanting to take care of plants themselves! 💚 We hope you enjoy the show.

Today we have a special interview with the lovely Justine Joy from Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, who visited us to talk about an upcoming event called 'Taking Good Care of Yourself'! ❤️‍🩹

We are supporting Justine and the Bradford District Care team and IMAS to host the event in 2 WEEKS at Central Hall in Keighley, on Wednesday 10th September. 🩺

It will be an educational event for people with learning disabilities and neurodiversity to learn about health checks and get lots of accessible helpful information. We hope you enjoys the show!
