Lake District Radio
With the sad loss of our local radio station to commercial corporations, we are now running a local community based radio station: ‘Lake District Radio’. The station will create Radio for the local people of Westmorland, Cumbria and the Lake District. We will deliver Local News and Weather, Local topics of interest, promote Local Business, Promote Local Charities and Causes, broadcast info on local events and all the things that matter to you as locals. This won’t happen over night but we’re well under way, though we will need support from our local communities, so get involved in whatever way you can! Let’s make our radio airwaves local again!! Lake District Radio (name voted by the community) is a non profit project aimed at filling the void due to the loss of other local radio stations. Founder; Seb Crawford James, and an amazing team of people and fantastic members of the local community have banded together to pursue this into the reality you experience today.
