As well as being the Summer Solstice and the longest day of the year tomorrow is the 2nd annual DAVE Day .

Last year over 45,000 motorbikes rode from London to Barrow and raised over £127,000 to celebrate the life of popular Cumbria lad, Dave Myers (one half of The Hairy Bikers).

This year the event is going to be repeated and promises to be bigger and better than ever.

As last year, the final leg will be between Burton Services and Barrow Town Hall and of course we will have our reporter on his Harley right in the thick of it, taking pictures and videos which we will post on our social media so you don't miss a thing!

All the money raised at the event will be split 50/50 between Dave's 2 favourite charities

NSPCC Childline and Cancer Care (North West)

So this week we raise a chip, not only to one of Cumbria's favourite sons but also to all the bikers who are participating in this year's event.

You can also lend your support by wearing a Hawai'ian shirt, as lots of the Bikers will be doing on the day..

Dave Myers loved a chippy tea, and you can win 2 of them if you enter our competition ..

We want your favourite biker, food or cooking song please and tag someone who loves their food.

If you're lucky, Lee will play your selection in the last 30 minutes of his show today (Lake District Radio 6.30pm- 7pm)

And if you're REALLY lucky you will be the winner of 2 free nutritious and delicous Frydays chippy teas.

Competition closes at 6.30pm and the winner will be announced on The Lee Durrant Show before 7pm.

Fantastic night at the grand re-opening of Royalty Cinema, Bowness last Saturday!

Live music was awesome from The Native Cult and The Upbeat Beatles.

Highly recommend you pop along to Bowness for movies, live music and theatre.
