She married a Billionaire for Revenge.....But fell in Love 🥺
Episode 1: The Plan Begins
Samantha stared at the invitation in her hand, her heart pounding faster than she wanted to admit. It was embossed, golden letters that screamed wealth she had only ever dreamed of—and planned for. The grand gala at the Marconi estate was tonight, and she knew exactly why she had to be there. David Marconi, the billionaire everyone whispered about, was hosting. Rich, handsome, untouchable—and the man who had ruined her family years ago.
Her father’s business had gone under because of a deal David had backed out of at the last minute. Her mother had cried herself to sleep every night, and Samantha had promised herself she’d make him pay. Not with fists, not with revenge in the shadows, but with something much closer… from the inside. She would marry him.
Dressed in a sleek black gown that hugged her curves, Samantha looked every bit the confident socialite she wasn’t. She had spent months studying his habits, his favorite charities, the people he trusted, even the way he laughed. Tonight, it would all start. Her reflection in the mirror barely felt like her own—someone poised, untouchable, someone dangerous—but Samantha knew the real weapon was her charm.
The gala hall glittered like a dream. Crystal chandeliers poured golden light over the crowd, and the faint sound of a string quartet made it feel like a movie. Samantha moved through the guests with ease, letting her smile glide over wealthy faces, some curious, most dismissive. And then she saw him.
David Marconi. Standing tall, confident, in a sharp navy suit, laughing with a group of investors. His dark hair was perfectly in place, and his eyes, a deep, calculating brown, scanned the room like he owned it—which, of course, he did. Samantha felt a flicker of something she quickly shoved down. Anger. That was her anchor. Her plan. She couldn’t afford to let anything else slip in yet.
Later, she found herself next to the champagne fountain, brushing against him by what looked like coincidence but was anything but. David turned, a smirk forming as he noticed her.
“You’re Samantha, right?” His voice was smooth, confident. “I’ve seen you at a few charity events. You’re… unforgettable.”
Samantha’s heart skipped, but she kept her voice calm. “I guess tonight is unforgettable then,” she said, letting her lips curve into a teasing smile.
He chuckled, a sound that sent a strange shiver down her spine. “I like that,” he said. “Do you come to these events often?”
“Only when they’re worth it,” she replied, letting her eyes linger just long enough to spark curiosity. She had to admit, he was even more impressive up close. But she couldn’t let admiration distract her. This was about revenge.
The conversation flowed easily, more easily than Samantha had expected. She learned about his passion for art, his love for Italy—especially Venice—and how he had built his empire from nothing, turning every failure into fuel. He wasn’t just a spoiled rich man. He was brilliant. Dangerous. Exactly the kind of man she had to be close to if she wanted her plan to succeed.
By the end of the night, David asked her to join him for a private dinner at his penthouse. Samantha’s stomach fluttered, but she controlled it. Every step she took toward the elevator felt like stepping deeper into a trap she had laid for herself. She was the hunter, he was the prey—or at least, that’s how it was supposed to be.
As the city lights of New York stretched below them, Samantha looked out the window of the penthouse. The skyline glittered, and she felt a thrill she hadn’t expected. David was talking, laughing, and for a moment, just a moment, she almost forgot why she was here. Almost.
But then she reminded herself of the cold nights, the ruined dreams, her mother’s tears. She clenched her jaw. Tonight was the start. The start of her revenge. The start of the plan that would put her inside the life of the man who had everything… and everything to lose.
Yet, as she looked back at him, smiling at some private joke, a small, dangerous thought whispered in the back of her mind: what if she fell for him?
Samantha shook her head. No. That wasn’t part of the plan.
Not yet.
