When that day comes, the day marketing stops feeling like a gamble.

Over the last 3 months I have seen so much effort from owners and marketing teams being put into delivering content, posting more, trying new ideas, chasing that idea of you only need one viral post and everything will change.

Marketing should be a no brainer

Music selection is key when creating your videos.

But how did we get to this point?

We have completed the shoot, got all the footage backed up, created a filing system which future self will thank me for and then we create the new project.

I start by reviewing all the footage and laying out the time line in an order that feels right, like this should work.

Now with a fresh view on the footage we have got and how I see the video coming together, I need to find the right music to make the project.

Music is so important to all video content that we dont fit the music to the footage, we fit the footage to the music.

I love to put my headphones on and just loose myself in different music tracks. This process can take anywhere between 30 minutes to 3 hours, all depending on that feeling we need to convey, the bigger picture of the full project and what our audience will appreciate.

So, for now, Im going to sit back and listen to some options, imagining the music playing and the footage flowing with each beat, rhythm and heartbeat to help my clients project come together with the perfect finished results.

Do you know where in your customer journey that you are missing out on opportunities for sales?

The customer journey starts at Awareness and ends with Retention, but each step of the journey needs you to tell a different story.

At the Awareness stage you are simpling showing up, letting people get to know you.

If your ideal customer is looking for the service or product you offer, you now need to think about the content that shows you can help them.

When it comes to making the decision to purchase your service or someone elses, its going to come down to who do they feel like they can trust.

And its not that simple to go I trust you lets use you, its about how easy is it for the customer to then complete the sales process with you, you need to help them see how easy that process is.

If you are a service or product that customers can use on a monthly basis, then retention is easy to measure, but if you are having a new roof, the retention content is around the after sales service, keeping them updated and educated. If done right, then these customers become your biggest advocates and send new customers to the Awareness part of your sales process.

I get that warm fuzzy feeling when I walk on to some locations.

A little smile and exhale of breath because I know its going to be a great shoot.

This was a shoot I did earlier in the week and when the client was showing me around, I was like we are 100% using this area!

Creating the right space to film or shoot photos in, is all part of creating the finished result. Create The Image, is not some random selection of words, its what we do, from planning to the final editing, I make sure we create the right look and feel to your marketing, using our expertise in lighting and editing.

The client already has a gallery of images for them to choose the ones they want me to put the final edit to. Im looking forward to sharing the finished results, and the thinking behind each set up, in the coming weeks.
