Border Miniatures are created by Pete Armstrong in 1:43 scale to provide a wide variety of crews for gauge 0 locomotives of all types The range is expanding to include passengers, guards, workmen and other characters to enhance the gauge 0 scene. Pete has built a Highland Railway swivel cradle wagon, the sides, ends and the cradle are resin castings which are available to other model makers as aids to scratch building, these are the difficult parts. The stanchions and w-iron/springs/axle box casting were made in Pete's workshop, cast in white metal, from his own master patterns. All other components were either sourced from the trade of simply fabricated from sheet nickel silver or wire.

There is however no crank axle as this is not working valve gear. Built from a set of Laurie Griffin castings.
