LinkedIn isn’t any harder to use than Instagram…it’s just that people are on there for completely different reasons.
When someone’s scrolling Instagram or Facebook, they are looking to kill time, see what their mates are up to, or watch something entertaining. But when someone opens LinkedIn, they’re actually there to make business decisions…they are looking for suppliers, checking out who does what, and figuring out who they want to work with.
That’s exactly why you don’t need to be posting on LinkedIn every single day to get results. A couple of well-thought-out posts each week where you clearly explain what you do and show you know your stuff will get you much further than churning out daily content just for the sake of it.
People on LinkedIn aren’t looking for entertainment or fancy marketing tricks…they want to see that you’re experienced, that you know what you’re talking about, and that you can be trusted to do the job properly.
If your business is the kind where people need to trust you before they’ll hand over their money (and let’s be honest, that’s most trades and service businesses), then LinkedIn backs you up in a way that other platforms just don’t.
