Have you been to the funny farm?
It is in Kilchoan Village. Take the road to Mingary castle, go past the castle entrance and the funny farm car park is just along a wee bit. There are gorgeous pet rabbits 🐇 🐰 for you to cuddle 🥰 For the kids there is a mud kitchen which is very popular, lots of toys in the poly tunnel. There is a nice seating area where you can sit and eat your snacks. Teas, coffee, soft drinks, rolls and cakes and sweeties in the wee shop. Lots of nice wee gifts like buckets and spades and fishing nets and stuff. The kids will want one of everything! 😁 Ice lollies.
It is fun few hours for everyone that loves animals. There are friendly Alpacas, ponys, donkeys, Valais black face sheep that are adorable, 🥰 other unusual breeds of pet sheep and the stars of the show …the Pigmy goats! They are a riot! They are very energetic and are escape artists 🤣
Lots of cuts of Ardnamurchan Estate Local venison in the Freezer in the shop. burgers and steaks, mince and venison stewing steak to put in your slow cooker. Just some of the things you will find along there. You see Mingary Castle up close and you can pop in to have a look at their menu and book a table. That is also a must do on your holiday to Atdnamurchan. 😍

Have you been to Fika? 💕 It is our new coffee shop in Kilchoan community centre. We are just about getting used to not calling it Puffin, well we still do but we all know what we are talking about! 😂 Roddy Puffin is really enjoying his job in Ardnamurchan Distillery and Liv happy in the Estate office which works well around the primary school hours. We miss all ‘The puffins’ and give them another big 👏 🤩🙌 As we move on we are delighted that Liz and her family have stepped in and taken on the lease. Her son Joe is our friendly barista, he came home from Canada to take on this opportunity with his mum. Gemma, is the on site Patisiere and came to kilchoan a few years ago with another of lizs’ sons. So Fika is a real family affair. It is fantastic all these talented people who chose to live in Kilchoan for a chapter of their lives. Now you know all that 😂 you really do need to go along to the Community centre and learn when to Fika. ☺️

Tug O’war men’s Locals vs Visitors 2025. A good few Ardnamurchan Distillery guys on there, Allan MacDonald at the helm they are just about holding out and then you see ROSIE jumping on and pulling the rope over the line 😂😂not a bother on her! 💪🏼
