TASS U8s travelled to Ayr this morning, playing teams across Ayrshire in the SFA South West Festival! Positive attacking moves and confident defending at the back was brilliant from the girls 🤩 Well done TASS 👏💙💛

Our U8s braved the downpour to play in the SFA South West 5s Festival with an early kickoff this morning! ☔️⚽️

TASS welcomed teams from across Ayrshire to our pitches in Stevenston, and the weather didn’t dampen the girls’ enthusiasm with some good football in show! Well done girls! 🤩✨

Sadly the worsening weather and chill factor meant the 4s Festival had to be cancelled this week, but we look forward to the U7s playing next week instead 💙💛

A close game in the first half had TASS Thistle U14s winning 1-0 at the break against Heston Rovers, with both teams having good opportunities to score more. Our goal came from Freya’s wide running and good left foot delivery, with Aimee stepping onto the cross to fire high into the goals.

Strong running from Rosie was a feature of the second half and she was getting the ball into the 6 yard box, and Anna was in the right place to grab our second goal. After the second goal TASS grew more confident in attack and created lots of chances, with Anna unlucky not to score a spectacular second goal as it hammered off the bar.

The highlight of the game was the amount of scorers in the team, with 6 different players scoring our 7 goals. And it was a special moment to watch Kayla dribble past a couple of players to get into the box and score with a left foot screamer!

Great to be back!! ⚽️💙💛 TASS U8s played their first 5s Festival after the Summer Break this morning, and a top morning of football it turned out to be 💥 Coaches were pleased to see great passing and moving and excellent decision-making on and off the ball! Well done TASS, keep it going 🤩💙💛
