Norfolk residents are being asked to share their views on the county’s 19 recycling centres as the annual satisfaction survey launches.

The survey is open until 18 October, with feedback being used to identify improvements and barriers to using the centres.

A huge well done to local personal trainer Crystal Gardner, who has raised £100 for The 8:56 Foundation after hosting a special fitness and yoga session at Wootton Park.

The money will help fund at least two counselling sessions, supporting men who may be struggling with their mental health, loneliness or isolation.

With more fundraising events planned, Crystal is helping make a real difference in the local community.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop collision after a van parked in a layby in Wells sustained extensive damage.

The collision involves an unknown vehicle which has badly damaged a white Vauxhall Movano van parked between 9am and 12pm on Burnt Street, in Wells-next-the-Sea on Thursday 10 September 2026.

West Norfolk Council has received the Gold Award under the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme for its support of serving personnel, reservists, veterans and their families.

🚴‍♂️❤️ TODAY'S HAPPY SONG IS DEDICATED TO ROBERT TAYLOR! ❤️🚴‍♂️

What an incredible achievement for Great Massingham's Robert Taylor, who has completed a 100km tandem ride after getting back on a bike for the first time since his teens, despite being almost completely blind!

Riding alongside pilot Michael Jay, Robert covered more than 60 miles, visiting 25 churches before reaching the finish at Little Massingham Church.

And what a welcome home! A crowd gathered to greet him, with the church bell ringing for the first time in 40 years . A truly emotional moment for Robert, his wife Jane and everyone involved. 🔔❤️

The ride is raising money for St Andrew's Church, Little Massingham and Vision Norfolk, while proving that blindness doesn't have to stop you doing the things you love.

👏 A massive well done, Robert! 100km completed and a memory you'll never forget! ❤️🚴‍♂️

Police are appealing for help to identify a person they would like to speak to in connection with a burglary in King’s Lynn.

It happened at around 2.50am on Thursday 27 August at a business premises in St Nicholas Retail Park on Edward Benefer Way.

A car was used to break the front window of the property, before a suspect gained access and stole cash from inside.

The vehicle, a silver Vauxhall Mokka, was found abandoned a short while later on Camfrey. Enquiries established the car had been stolen from a property in Austin Street the previous evening (Wednesday 26 August).

Following enquiries, we are now able to release CCTV footage of a person who may have information about the incident. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLiNLEZmZPM)

PC Ben Ward said: “While the person’s face is not visible in the footage, their gait and clothing may well be recognisable to those who know them. Anyone with any information about who this might be should get in touch.

“We also want to hear from anyone who may have seen anything or has further CCTV or dashcam footage that could help our investigation”
