Big news. The biggest news. It’s happening. We’ve done the impossible and dragged The Scary Clown presents kicking and screaming out of retirement.

Imagine the Rocky training in the snow montage. That’s them right now. Getting themselves to peak fitness again to host this mega WEEKENDER with us and No Gods, No Managers.

We are still confirming the lineup but you can get your early bird/worm tickets now.

It’s in Stamford at Mama Liz's Bar / Restaurant Drinks & Soulfood / Stamford UK - Est 2008 on May 23 and 24. That’s a bank holiday weekend. Wahoo.

We welcome back the incredible Spoilers for another headline show with us. The lineup also features Norfolks finest MICES and Los Fatso Libres and our old friend Al Pacinos Sister.

2025 was a busy one. Our fourth year doing this thing of putting on gigs and forcing people together.

It’s slow progress. It’s hard work sometimes. Sometimes people annoy us. Sometimes we annoy other people. Overall though we reckon it’s going pretty well.

We’ve firmly established Ostrich Inn Peterborough as the home of Socks On gigs with lots booked in in 2026.

Our relationship with Tacos and Flipflops is getting quite serious now and marriage may be on the cards.

Our lineup of Socks On bands has grown and grown. We’ve had to buy a bigger mini bus to get them all to school in the mornings.

We had the visit of Italy again thanks to Arci Joshua Blues Club APS and Danielle 🇮🇹

The None headlining East Angrier in the Summer was a massive highlight for us.

Lots planned for 2026 - Socks On sessions, podcasts, gigs, alldayers and a very special weekender where The Scary Clown presents have come out of retirement to host a weekend with us and No Gods, No Managers at Mama Liz's Bar / Restaurant Drinks & Soulfood / Stamford UK - Est 2008 in Stamford.

So there’s this person that is one half of Socks On, they are in Das Kapitans and make music under the name Al Pacinos Sister. It wouldn’t be right to say who they are, but this person has also just released this….a two track EP featuring the magnificent Dan Donovan - Muso/Artist

All profits are going to Mind charity.

Go check it out. It’s wonderful. (The other one in Socks On wrote this post, would be a bit weird if Steve wrote it….ah no, I’ve messed up there haven’t I)

Thanks for coming out to play on Friday night at Ostrich Inn Peterborough. Apologies that we made you all late to bed. Hopefully you’ve caught up on your sleep now.

Last gig of the year was a mega one. 2025 has been ridiculously busy for us. We are exhausted. So we have taken the decision that in 2026 we will….do just as much and be even more exhausted going into 2027. Sensible.

Tacos and Flipflops will be doing a Burrito drop at Ostrich Inn Peterborough on Friday night to keep hunger at bay. They will appear at 8pm. Do not eat tea before you come out. Or maybe just a light snack to keep you going. Drink responsibly and then eat the best vegan burritos like a monster. Then drink some more.
