TECH EXPLORERS- GILBERDYKE 🧑‍💻

Looking for a free way to keep the kids busy during the summer holidays? 🌞

To celebrate Quickline providing broadband in the area, we have partnered with INIT Creative to deliver an exclusive and FREE technology workshop for children aged 8-12!

In the workshop children will have the opportunity to explore VR technology and get creative to create their own sweets brand using digital skills!

When: Thursday 21st August
Session 1: 10am- 12pm
Session 2: 2pm- 4pm

🌊 Wow – what a Deep Dive! 🐠💦

We were joined all the way from Egypt by professional diver Zan, who dialled in live to share her incredible experiences under the sea. She wowed the kids with stories about marine life, the amazing tech she uses to explore the deep, and why protecting our oceans is so important. 🌍💙

Afterwards, our young creatives got hands-on with a “Message in a Bottle” workshop – designing their own brilliant creations to send their ideas and dreams out into the world. The results? Absolutely amazing! 🎨✨

That was followed up by VR deep-sea diving!🥽✨
Our young people coming face-to-face with turtles, dolphins, orcas – and even feeding great white sharks! 🦈💙

At Reel Creative, we’re passionate about giving kids the chance to experience things they might never otherwise see. Our Deep Dive session took them all the way to Egypt and around the world — without leaving Hull! 🇪🇬💻

WE KICKED OFF THE REEL CREATIVE TECH SUMMER SCHOOL WITH STYLE! With this amazing Fashion Studio workshop run by Finley Simpson, a final-year Fashion Communication student at Northumbria University.

With a passion for crafting unique and creative visions in styling and photography, Beverley-based Finley brought an incredible energy to the session, inspiring the children to design and create their very own branded T-shirts. The young creatives absolutely loved exploring their own ideas and seeing how a professional in the fashion industry develops bold concepts.

It was amazing to watch their confidence grow as they transformed their visions into wearable art! At Reel Creative, we’re passionate about giving young creatives a platform to have a voice, share their stories, and explore their talents. This workshop was a perfect example of how industry professionals like Finley can spark imagination and open doors to new possibilities. A huge thank you to Finley for sharing your skills and sparking so much creativity. We’re also beyond grateful to Helen Gill, the creative powerhouse behind our session ideas and the mastermind of the T-shirt printing.
