If you’re interested in joining a society full of like minded dance music lovers then Crystal Clear is for you! From learning to DJ to finding a group to go raving with, we’ll make sure you feel right at home 🫶

🔥 This week we have a very special announcement for our second takeover of 2025 on Wednesday 30th April! 🔥

🎰 The first part of our takeover will be from 00:00-00:45, where our president from the 2024/2025 year - Cassino, will be bringing you a high energy set to keep the place jumping, with some tunes coming from our president of the 2025/2026 year - hotdog george in a very special B2B to mark the end of Cassino’s time at Crystal Clear 🎰

🌭 The second part will take place from 1:30-2:15 where hotdog george will take the stage alone to bring you some rolling basslines, house and garage to keep everybody moving til the very end! 🌭

Crystal Clear are returning to The Welly with RAM Records own skantia headlining their first event of 2023!

After becoming resident DJ at the same night he was selling tickets for, it was during this time Skantia knew he wanted to step it up a gear and the best way to do that, was to start producing. Three years down the line he’s now one of Drum & Bass’ brightest new talents: backed by one of the most legendary labels in the game and the biggest DJ in the scene breaking your tunes.

With support from Crystal Clear members of new and old and a special guest from Hull's underground D&B events group Urban Kikz!

Prepare for a night of Garage, Breakbeats, and Drum & Bass!

Our Story

Crystal Clear is Hull University's DJ and Events Society. We’ve been consistently throwing parties and events in Hull for just over 14 years and in that time have hosted the likes of AJ Tracey, DJ Q, Mumdance, Big Miz, Conducta and Ross From Friends along with many others artists. We’ve held events in the likes of Welly, Tunnel and other unique venues around Hull, as well as resident based parties. Our society sees our influences take from a wide net of genres such as Grime, Drum & Bass, Garage, House and Techno. Crystal Clear is constantly trying to challenge your typical experience of a night out bringing in interesting and forward thinking DJs to drive a new perspective home to the people who attend our events. We also promote the growth of our DJs within the society, whether this is introducing people to DJ-ing or focusing on nurturing and helping DJs develop or learn new technical skills. In addition to DJ-ing, if you are looking to bring something else to the table, have an interest in events organisation or just wanting to be a part of like-minded individuals, any student can join us so get in touch and come meet us for a chat!
