Wow! 🤯🎉💥
14 events, (edit: 1 was cancelled) 7 independent venues, 33 bands/artists in 2025.

It's nice to look back at the last year with a sense of pride and thanks to funding from and we've managed to put on a whole heap of FREE live music events!

There were a couple of last minute lineup changes, a venue change and 1 cancelled gig but we still did a pretty good job of providing a platform for new artists! 🤘😎

Huge thanks to and all the venue staff and sound engineers for their support ❤️

Most importantly we have to say a huge thanks to the fans, friends, families, parents and music lovers that come to these events and support our artists. 🫶

Something from the vaults!
It's not often old recordings from get unearthed but a few old reels have been brought back to life and it's an absolute honour and a pleasure to share them with you.
Here are a few words from one of the founders of this project...

"Back in the early 90's my brother Mark started writing his own material and I started singing with him for fun. We didn’t have any money and wanted to record our songs and we heard of a new place in town that we could go to for free! The Warren. It was a hum of activity, with lots of different groups to engage in and get support. There was even a crèche so young mums weren’t excluded. Back then that was impressive. We could even get a hot meal!
I remember the small 16 track recording studio at The Warren. I was so in awe of it. It was amazing to be recording our music there. We were young and we had the world at our feet. It was exciting times. There was talk of an American tour. There was an offer of a record deal. But nothing happened. My brother suffered with Autism and struggled with depression. Back then Autism wasn’t ever talked about, there was a stigma with depression. Men had to toughen up, pull themselves together. Man up.
My brother took his own life at 33 years old. I sold all the equipment and threw all the music away. It was a painful reminder of our lives. This I regret now. The only thing I kept was the unfinished reels. Over the years I have looked at the reels and thought of finishing and releasing them but ended up in tears and buried them away again.
Last year I lost both my parents and after that I decided I had to finish what we had started. Get some closure. I sent them away, got them digitised and we booked a day at Young Thugs Studio with Nick Russell. I wanted to bring the tracks up to date and invited my son Tom and partner Lizzie to do a new vocal on Desire. Both of them have been involved with music at The Warren in the past.
Music for all of us started at The Warren and it is here that it should end. This is a tribute to him, to his music and to The Warren for making this happen." - .sarah

W***H Viva la riot grrrl and Jodie Langford take the reins on our upcoming album "Collaboration" with an electric debut single titled "You've Got Male!" a song about sexist values and concepts and contradicting expectations put on women by picky, fussy, misogynistic molerats!

The purpose of the Collaboration project was to engage up-and-coming artists releasing with Warren Records and connect them with artists that had already carved their own path in the music industry and were staples of the local music scene and produce something new and original in a short space of time.

The results speak for themselves so click the link below and crank it up! WR

Celebrating GRRRit and the people who empower women and marginalised genders, locally and beyond, in live events and music.

The aim of GRRRit (a FORGED project at ) was to empower young women and marginalised genders aged between 16 to 25 and to improve the safety and community relationships within Hull's music scene.

Group sessions were held with young women and marginalised genders where they explored their experiences of Hull nightlife and gigs around the city.

An anonymous questionnaire was also launched to collect thoughts and feedback from members of the public.

25 venue staff and event organisers in Hull are now accredited with and we have developed an Event Safety and Sexual Violence Response Policy for local promoters and venues to use in their spaces.

We invite you to this event to join us in celebrating the findings of this project, with guest talks from .rumianceva (Hull Girlies), (Pink + Red), (YWMP) and a DJ set from

A huge and heavy opening set from Grimsby based outfit Joyride, followed by an assault on the senses from Scunthorpe's Tirf and finished off flawlessly by a new and improved Culture Clash

Amazing times were had and the weather didn't put of the gig-goers! True dedication, we love it!
