Almost a year to the day since we last sat down with Electric 6's Chris Tait, and tonight we picked the conversation back up right where we left off.

Ahead of their show, we talked about the night in Nashville that changed everything, breaking family cycles, parenting with intention, the pull of chaos, creativity in recovery, and the growing vision behind Passenger Recovery in Hamtramck, Michigan.

The latest episode looks at how culture, religion and addiction intersected across Taz’s life as a British-born Pakistani Muslim raised in 80s England. The conversation provides a clear, detailed look at how identity conflict, cultural pressures and trauma shaped his early experiences and later addiction.

We were privileged to have Taz join us to share his story with honesty, clarity and insight. Taz talks about:

• What it meant to grow up around open racial hostility and how it shaped his sense of safety and identity.
• How cultural pressure around arranged marriage affected his autonomy and mental health as a young man.
• Early exposure to violence, gang environments and substance use, and how these became normalised.
• The progression from alcohol and cannabis to he**in, driven by anger, instability and loss of control.
• Experiences of prison, relapse and repeated attempts at detox.
• How intergenerational trauma influenced his adult behaviour, relationships and parenting.
• How therapy helped him understand his inner child, his father and the roots of his behaviour.
• His transition into mentoring and supporting others in recovery.

For anyone wanting to understand what it feels like to grow up between cultures, to be labelled through addiction, or to live with intergenerational trauma, Taz’s story provides a clear and detailed account.

Behind the headlines and tabloid snapshots, the new episode of Believe in People features Katie Price & Kerry Katona, two women who have lived their lives in the public eye and are now sharing what recovery and accountability really look like.

They talk openly about how a drug became a coping mechanism, how living under a microscope intensified shame, and how accountability and self-acceptance became turning points. They explore the double standard faced by those who are mothers, women and survivors, and they show that recovery is more than just abstinence.

At its core, this is about understanding the root of dependency, supporting those still in the dark, and creating space for change. Because we believe in people.

If you or someone you know is struggling with substance misuse, this series could help.

Huge congratulations to Jim White, who recently marked 14 years of sobriety!

From anchoring the legendary Deadline Day broadcasts at Sky Sports to co-hosting the mid-morning show on talk SPORT, Jim’s voice has become one of the most recognisable in sports broadcasting. But beyond the headlines and football deals, it’s his honesty about his recovery and resilience that truly inspires.

We had the pleasure of meeting Jim earlier this year after an introduction from his ex-wife Fiona at the Radio Academy Awards, and it was clear why he’s so respected; gracious, grounded, and generous with his time.

In his own words:

“For anybody out there struggling today, I’m with you, and we’re with you, and remember, you’ll get through it. You can get through it.”

Jim, your journey shows what’s possible when courage meets accountability. Here’s to 14 years of strength, sobriety, and inspiring others to believe in themselves.

It’s been three years since we first had Michelle Heaton on our podcast. It was early days in her recovery, and she spoke with such honesty and courage. Having someone of Michelle’s profile share so openly not only legitimised what we were building but also shaped the direction of our series. Hearing how cathartic she found the experience helped us realise that what we were aiming to build and how we were doing it was the right thing.

Thank you, . 💜

“People often expect the podcast to be a hard listen, and yes, we talk about some heavy stuff. But there’s just as much laughter as there is honesty. There’s a fine line between comedy and tragedy, and if there’s one thing we do on this podcast, it’s laugh. Because sometimes, the best way to face life’s hardest battles is with a good laugh.” - 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘸 𝘉𝘶𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘳, 𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘉𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘗𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦

What a night at the surrounded by incredible talent and industry leaders!

No trophies picked up this year (hard to compete when you’re up against Louis Theroux and The Newsagents), but the competition was fierce, and the inspiration was real.

There are always lessons in defeat, and our mission remains unchanged: to help people access the right support earlier, feel inspired, and maintain abstinence.

Here’s to continuing to believe in people. 💜🎙️
