Essential improvement work is set to begin in East Park later this month, bringing much-needed upgrades to the park’s footpaths. The improvements will involve resurfacing and reconstructing areas of the footpaths which have deteriorated, whilst also improving existing drainage. Once finished, the newly improved footpaths will provide a safe and even surface for everyone who uses the beloved park.

The work, which will focus on the footpaths surrounding the lake and rugby field, is scheduled to begin on Monday 20 October and is expected to be completed on Friday 14 November, weather depending.

Residents of and are being invited to take their place on a travelling ‘hot seat’ and join in with conversations across the region aimed at helping women, their families and friends face up to the menopause. Locally, the centrepiece of the campaign will be a Hull 2025 event at Princes Quay on Saturday 18th October.
The Menopaus’ull Support Network – a project of Neighbourhood Network – has embarked on a tour of Hull and the East Riding, which sees a vibrant pink sofa take centre stage at locations including shopping centres, the University of Hull and Castle Hill Hospital as a symbol of support.
