Through years of fundraising efforts and local support, this mosque was brought to life by the people, for the people. It features:

• A dedicated women’s section
• Nikah & funeral services
• A ghusl area
• A panoramic prayer hall
• The region’s first Islamic museum, housing rare artefacts including a key to the Kaaba from the Ottoman era 🗝️🕋

Al-Buraq Masjid is a vital hub for worship, outreach, and education in Blackburn.

Located in Fife, Scotland, this beautiful masjid has been serving the local Muslim community since 1976.

What began as weekly Islamic circles in homes has grown into a fully established mosque offering daily prayers, Qur’an tafseer, Hifz classes, Hadith sessions, and marriage services all built on peace, faith, and community harmony.
