Not only that but you probably have the week’s meals to sort out, school runs, kids, pets .. and that’s before you even stop to consider the last time you had a day off. I mean ACTUALLY helps you? Yes, there may government enterprise schemes and one off local workshops but what about ongoing support and training, advice when you need it and relevant courses and workshops on the topics YOU need help with?? This is why The McNeal Method came into being. Affordable business coaching now exists! I’m a 40-something mama with a small business, wanting to help others through my experience. I don’t believe in paying for any help if you can get it for free, and when you can’t get it for free, it needs to be affordable, but still bring the results you need. No-one seemed to be providing that, which vexed me. Coaches were charging upwards of £100 an hour. Courses were hundreds of pounds. Network groups were hundreds of pounds a year. This - I thought - is not accessible or realistic for the people like us who have tiny businesses. I tell my clients, “if you can’t find a way, make one.” .. so that’s what I did, and here we are. Through my business support group, ‘The Business Owners Network’ I reach out to hundreds of business owners just like you, who find huge benefits in having somewhere they can be amongst others who they can chat with, laugh with, commiserate the bad days and celebrate the great days with. With my one to one coaching I provide affordable and practical hands on help for you and your business on any topic needed, to guide you to achieve the growth you need. WOW! 😮

What a difference!
These are very real stats from a social media client. I have only been posting for a couple of weeks for them, and the magic has happened already.

The red figures the week I took over mean that everything was definitely NOT ok, and then after posting for them for a week or so, everything is in green, just the way I like it!

Is it magic? Is it paid for?
No, and no! No magic, just years of experience and knowing what works.
And no money was used! I rarely advise paying for promoting content without good reason. Organic is always best until you have built up a little momentum first.

Who's got your back?

When it comes to spreading the word about your business, a referral circle can make a HUGE difference, maybe the biggest difference of all.

A study by Nielsen found that consumers were 77% more likely to buy a product if their friends recommended it, and that word-of-mouth marketing results in 5x more sales than paid media adverts. See why it's so powerful?

It's one thing for people to see your content and read your posts, but when other people shout out about you and sing your praises, people are far more likely to get in touch with you.

If you have even a handful of people who regularly refer you to others, more and more new costumers will come your way without you having to do anything or spend money on trying to attract them. In the last few weeks I have had people contact me who have been referred by people I don't even know! Word of mouth spreads, and it works like magic - as long as you can live up to expectations!

But how do you get to this to happen?
Well, first of all you have to provide an amazing service or product. People won't stick their neck out to refer an 'ok' business. You need to be outstanding.

Secondly, you need to be willing and able to return the favour.
A referral circle only works when you refer others too, it's only fair - and ALL small businesses like yours need the help just as much as you do.

The reason they work so well isn't just the fact that people are more likely to buy from personally recommended businesses. It also gets your business in front of hundreds of new people who you otherwise would never know.
Think about that.

If you want to start a referral circle, see if you can link up with a couple of other businesses who are also active on social media or in networking circles. When someone needs your service they would put you forward, and you will do the same for them. Let me know how you get on!

This is mind blowing?!

Did you know that according to statistics (Source: Dale Carnegie), a HUGE 91% of people surveyed said that they would give a referral of a business they were impressed by BUT only 11% of salespeople/business people ask for them.

Referral marketing happens when your current and past customers tell potential new customers amazing you are. To gain more of these you have two jobs to do:

1. BE amazing
2. ASK for referrals!
That's it!

You can ask for people to refer you, you can sweeten the deal with a discount code for the referrer, or a discount for the referrer AND the new customer! Referred customers are more likely to buy, feel more trust instantly, and already WANT to like you, so the hard part's done!

TRUE FACT: There are three things stopping your business from being successful on social media:

1. Time - there are only so many hours in a day and do you REALLY want to spend them thinking about what to post on Facebook?
2. Knowledge - even if you DO have the time, you can never think of what to say, which image to use, whether to post on your page or in a group, a story or a video, how do you even ‘do’ a proper reel anyway?!
3. Motivation - Let’s say you have the time AND the knowledge .. let’s be realistic, can you really be bothered?
