It is always wonderful to see our authors' books finding their place on library shelves 💜

This week, Rising From Despair: A Journey To Hope by Saira Anwar was photographed in the beautifully restored Chorlton Library, a remarkable building that has stood at the heart of its community since 1914 after being funded by Scottish-American benefactor Andrew Carnegie.

Following a year-long restoration, the library reopened in April 2025, with its magnificent dome and balcony returned to their original glory, making it a fitting setting for this special milestone.

We're also pleased to share that Rising From Despair continues to gain momentum, with copies now available in store at Blackwell's, Manchester Poetry Library confirming they will be adding the title to their collection this autumn, and further discussions taking place with booksellers across Greater Manchester.

Congratulations to Saira on continuing to connect with readers and seeing her debut book reach more shelves.
