✨ Team Spotlight: Mouj Hijazi ✨

Say hello to Mouj, our brilliant Brand Marketing Executive here at Conexiant EU!

In this edition of Meet the Team, Mouj gives us a glimpse behind the scenes — from creative collaboration to aerial arts, cat companions, and bucket-list dreams 🌍✨

💬 What’s the best thing about being part of the team?
My team and I are all passionate about marketing, but we're also different, so it's always great bouncing different ideas off each other and inspiring each other creatively. We also just have fun together 😊

💬 Go-to hobby outside of work?
I've recently gotten into acro/aerial arts and fitness, and it's been the best thing for me, mentally and physically. I normally can't stand exercise, but aerial is so much fun that I've been going to at least 4 classes a week for the last month. Trying to be consistent!

💬 Film or book rec?
Can I recommend a few? The Swimmers, Farha, and The Present (short film). Art has the ability to shape worldviews and public perception. Most people only hear about the "war-torn Middle East" from the heavily engineered Western narrative, so I think it's important that people not only familiarise themselves with different perspectives, but also to support underappreciated art. If you want something English though, watch Official Secrets on Netflix. (Sorry, I can never recommend just one thing!)

💬 Any pets?
I do! I have my lovely cat Bel - she's so sweet and loving but feisty, super energetic and always surprises me with her intelligence. We have another cat at home in Oman and he's the opposite - so chilled out and cuddly, but just as smart. Having pets really does make a house more of a home. ❤️

💬 What’s on your bucket list if money or time weren’t an issue?
If money was no object, I would quite literally spend my life travelling. There's so much to see and I'd do my best to see every corner of the world! I'd never get bored. 🤩

That’s a wrap on USCAP 2025, and what an exceptional week it’s been for The Pathologist team.

We’re sincerely grateful for the opportunity to engage with so many members of the global pathology community — from valued clients and industry partners to our dedicated readers and contributors.

It is a privilege to contribute to a field that is not only vital to healthcare but also deeply collaborative and inclusive.

We return with a series of exciting articles in development, shaped by the meaningful interactions, valuable networking, and powerful stories shared throughout the week. 🧠

Thank you to all who made such a memorable experience. We look forward to continuing the conversation.

👋 Meet the Team!

Say hello to Lisbeth Fernandez, Project Coordinator at Conexiant Europe! 🚀 Below she gives us a glimpse into her role, passions and interests!

🎯 What are your key responsibilities at Conexiant EU?

As a Project Coordinator and Sales Support at Conexiant Europe, my responsibilities include managing project timelines, coordinating between internal teams and clients, and assisting the sales department with client communication and logistics. I also support process optimisation, maintain records, and ensure smooth operations to enhance overall efficiency.

✨ If you could swap places with a public figure for a day, who would it be?

Lewis Hamilton. Experiencing the adrenaline of high-speed racing, the behind-the-scenes team dynamics, and the precision required to compete at that level would be an incredible experience. His ability to stay focused under extreme pressure is something to admire.

🎬 Any must-watch movie recommendations?
Interstellar is a must-watch. It is visually stunning and thought-provoking, exploring time, space, and the power of human connection. The film blends science with emotion in a way that leaves a lasting impact, making it one of the most memorable sci-fi films ever made.

💡 Who inspires you?
People who embrace curiosity and lifelong learning are inspiring. Leonardo da Vinci is a great example, as he excelled in multiple fields, from art to engineering. His ability to combine creativity with scientific thinking demonstrates how curiosity and innovation can lead to extraordinary achievements.

🌍 What’s on your bucket list?
Travelling to Antarctica to see the untouched landscapes, wildlife, and the Southern Lights is a dream. Taking a year to explore different parts of the world, learning new skills such as scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef or hiking to Everest Base Camp, would also be at the top of the list.

🌟 Happy International Women’s Day! 🌟

At Conexiant Europe, we’re celebrating by shining a spotlight on some of the incredible women in our senior leadership team.

✨In this special Q&A, they share what being a female leader means to them, their career highlights, and how they inspire others to grow and succeed.

💡 What does being a female leader mean to you?

💬 Anyonita Green, Digital Marketing Manager: Being a female leader means embracing the power of possibility. It means standing in my truth, knowing that my presence at the table is not just for me, but for those who will come after me. As a Black woman in leadership, I understand the importance of representation—of showing up, speaking up, and creating space for others to do the same.

💬 Helen Conyngham, Head of Sales: For me, being a female leader isn’t about labels - it’s about action. It’s about making decisions that matter, having the courage to challenge the status quo, and bringing people together. It means showing up every day with purpose, resilience, and a willingness to learn. Leadership isn’t about being the loudest in the room; it’s about knowing when to listen, when to push forward, and when to lift others up.

💡 How do you think having women in leadership impacts the company culture?

💬 Anyonita: When women step into leadership, we bring with us a richness of perspective and a leadership style that values collaboration and empathy. A workplace with women in leadership is a workplace that listens, adapts and thrives because diverse voices bring innovation and resilience. It’s not just about gender representation; it’s about shifting cultures to be more inclusive.

💡 How have you navigated a traditionally male-dominated industry as a female leader?

💬 Helen: It has been about focusing on results and staying confident in my abilities. I’ve learned that success isn’t about fitting into a mould - it’s about bringing my own perspective, strengths, and leadership style to the table. Building strong relationships, leading with authenticity, and proving my value through action have been key.

💡 How do you foster a supportive and inclusive environment for your team?

💬 Anyonita: I try to lead with the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, heard and values. That starts with listening to my team’s aspirations, challenges and ideas. I try to foster an environment where people feel safe to bring their full selves to work, here authenticity is celebrated and where differences are recognised as strengths.

🎉 Today, we celebrate the impact of women in leadership and the power of representation, resilience, and collaboration!

🌟 Meet Anyonita Green – our Digital Marketing powerhouse!

Anyonita joined us just a few months ago as our Digital Marketing Manager, and she’s already made a huge impact! With her creativity, strategic mindset, and deep understanding of digital trends, she’s been instrumental in driving the marketing team forward.

Want to know more about the person behind the strategy? Keep reading! 👇

💻 What are you most excited about in your new role?
Getting the opportunity to build a marketing team and having the chance to strut our stuff and show the impact marketing can make! It’s really exciting – but also a LOT of work!

🎤 What public figure/celeb would you most like to swap places with for the day?
Beyonce. I’m pretty sure it’s obvious why haha.

✈ Outside of work, what is your go to hobby of choice?
Travelling! I try to take a trip, even if it’s just over night, every 6 weeks – it’s such a great way to refresh and keep focused!

📚 Recommend us a film or book - and why?
Totally nerdy – but I’m currently reading Siren’s Call by the American journalist Chris Hayes. It’s all about attention, social media, information overload – it’s so good!

Do you have any pets, if so, what do you have? I have two semi-feral children: my son Callum is 13 and my daughter Marlow is 8!

📈 If you could switch roles with a Conexiant colleague for a day who would it be and why?
BRICE! Ugh, so jealous that he gets to nerd out about data all day!

We’re bringing back our Meet the Team series, and what better way to kick things off than by introducing some of the newer faces at Conexiant EU? 🎉

First up, meet Henry Thomas, Deputy Editor at The Analytical Scientist! 👋

💻 What are your key responsibilities at Conexiant EU?
As Deputy Editor of The Analytical Scientist, I assist James with writing, editing and commissioning new content for the magazine.

🎹 Outside of work, what is your go to hobby of choice?
I’m a massive fan of music – Growing up I played the cello, and more recently I’ve been teaching myself guitar, bass and keyboard (to varying degrees of success!)

📙 Any book recs?
Pachinko by Min Jin Lee – The book tells the story of four generations of a Korean family living in Japan during the 20th century. As a big fan of historical fiction, it was easily my favourite book I read last year.

🐶 Do you have any pets, if so, what do you have?
Not at the moment, unfortunately – Back at my family home my Mum and brother have 3 cats though (Bella, Lottie and Bruno), who I miss dearly!

🚀 What is on your bucket list if money / time was no object?
A professional grade home music studio, with an endless number of obscure instruments which I could mess around and write music with.

Stay tuned for more team spotlights as we continue to introduce the brilliant people behind Conexiant EU!
