Man Vs Horse 2026 is only 2 sleeps away! I have been reminiscing about all the times I have competed and the stand out year for me was without doubt 2017 when Celt & I took part! It was our second time there so I knew a bit more of what to expect, as did Celt. The forecast was heavy rain and every day in the run up it was looking more and more bleak. I remember the event as if it were yesterday, it rained, and it did not stop! This proved to aid the horses no end as they were kept cooler than they would on a sunny or dry day. Not one part of me that day wasn't soaked right through, but honestly, it just added to the atmosphere! A friend Iola won the event that year on her amazing horse, and my best friend came 4th on the fabulous Merl the grey horse you often see in my content, and Celt? Well he only pulled it out the bag and came in 10th horse and completed 25miles in under 3hours! This year I am crewing a friend and her horse and I'm honestly so excited to be there on the ground in a supporting role, there's a whole new course and you always get a totally different perspective of the event when you crew / ride / volunteer!
