👑 Lanarkshire Mr & Miss 👑

On Saturday, some of our members headed along to the Strathaven Hotel to support Sam and Nicole at the Lanarkshire Mr & Miss competition. It was a fantastic night with a delicious meal! 🍽️🎉

Huge well done to Mr Vice Chairman - Sam who placed 2nd in Mr Young Farmer – what an achievement! A tough competition to be part of 💪🏻

Massive congratulations to Nicole and all those who competed and best of luck to Sam, Fiona Currie, Jack McKinna and Kirsty Craig who will be representing the Lanarkshire District at the West Region competition this weekend! We’re all behind you! 👏🏻🍀

This year, Lanark Young Farmers Club is supporting Breast Cancer Now, who are doing vital work to support those affected by breast cancer and fund life-saving research.

Breast cancer touches so many lives — including within our own community and as a club is very close to our hearts 🩷, which is why we’re committed to raising awareness and encouraging everyone to regularly check their breasts (yes, that includes men too!). Early detection really does save lives.

Let’s spread the word, support the cause, and stand together. 💪
Every conversation, donation, and shared message makes a difference.

🚜Dyno Day🚜

Last weekend was Lesmahagow Young Farmers Dyno day in conjunction with us.
Just over £500 was made with Lesmahagow kindly topping it up to £1000. ⭐️

A big thank you must go to Gordans and R&R machinery for donating the dynos and R&R machinery for bringing along the quad bike and the digger for some side games!
It was a great day had by all. 😁💙

Lanarkshire Sheep Dressing 🐑

Yesterday we had a pair head long to, High Parks farm by kind permission of the Walker family, for Lanarkshire Sheep Dressing!

Jessie and Jane came 3rd overall in the senior section well done girls👏👏👏

💙🥾Lanarkshire Club Crawl🥾💙

This afternoon some of our members took part in Lanarkshire District Young Farmers club crawl! 😁

Our members started off at Kirkfield bank primary then finished at Station house. 📍🏁

Huge well done to the Lanarkshire office bearers who completed the full 55km! ⭐️
Another big well done to all the other Lanarkshire club members who took part.👏

Tomorrow some of our members will be heading out on their club crawl challenge alongside the other Lanarkshire clubs 👏 any donations greatly appreciated by the full team⭐️

Lanarkshire are getting behind the Big Build Challenge to support efforts to build a new home for young farmers💚💜

The Lanarkshire Club Crawl will see members from each club complete their leg of the route, all the way from East Kilbride to Biggar, covering 54km altogether🥾

The office bearers will take on the extra challenge of walking with every club to complete the full distance⭐️

🤩TOW World Championships🤩

Last weekend we had one of our members pulling in the Tug of War World Championships in Nottingham.

Club member Sarah Comrie pulled for Scotland and came away with the bronze medal in the U23 women’s 500kg🥉🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿The club are so happy for Sarah and all her teammates doing us all proud 🥳

🩷Breast Cancer Now🩷

Lanark Young Farmers are proud to announce that our charity for the year is Breast Cancer Now💕

We have chosen Breast Cancer Now as our charity to support this year as unfortunately some of our members have been impacted by the affects of breast cancer through family members or friends being diagnosed or passing away with breast cancer.

Any donations throughout the year will be deeply appreciated🩷

Our member are going to be participating in the Glasgow Pretty Muddy 5k on the 14th of June, they are all very excited to have some fun and get muddy whilst supporting a great cause🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
